    Estwing, are they moving production?

I absolutely hate Estwing hammers. I would use one instead of a rock, but other wise I would use any other hammer. I have always been kind of a hammer aficionado with checking out and handling just about any hammer I can get my hands on, as I love hammers. Estwing Light weight I beam bar is...

Do You Still Use Your Shop Air Compressor?

Recently I picked up a bigger for me compressor 30 gallon. Biggest I could find that runs quiet. I hate the sound of a loud compressor and the loudness of air tools. I have to save my hearing. I usually use cordless tools as much as possible, but I needed an impact hammer and did not have one...

Circular saw. What isn’t cheap consumer grade?

A high tooth count carbide blade 7 -1/4, will take care it. I like makita the best now, desalt also makes some very nice saws. Milwaukee some times the grips are just not ergonomic IMO. Any good quality saw will be good and not the cheapest. I agree as previously posted that the porter cable...

Do you think Knipex Cobra style pliers have completely replaced Channellock tongue-and-grove style pliers?

NO I have several of both. Channelocks are good in any direction incliduding twisting. Cobras flex too nuch especially when twisting. The cobras have sharper teeth and bite into the material better, also leaving marks. Somtimes i feel like cobras are goi g to break. The pliers wrench is super...

    Best budget USA tools

I would suggest Grey Pneumatic duo sockets, They thin like regular sockets and can be used on an impact. Great value and come in a nice case for transport. The ratchets work nice, and I like the extension I have in 1/4 inch. I plan on getting 3/8 and 1/2 in both MM and SAE as needed. Wright...

Vessel Famidora TD-800 - high praise from a man with 150+ screwdrivers...

I have only one vessel screwdriver. It is a silver handled impact screwdriver, that has the impact mechanism in the plastic handle. It is awesome. It works great and if something is hard to break free you can tap on thr handle with a hammer and it turns it into an impact driver. Awesome stuff...

    Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches vs non-ratcheting

In my opinion at about 17mm 6pt vs 12 pt does not matter anymore other than the 12 will be more convenient, and sometimes depending on the situation one can have more bite than the other, kind of funny how that is.

    24" ratchet or ratchet adapter?

I have the 24" flex head Snap-on 80 tooth, that came with the free 24" breaker bar. In my experience when pulling hard, the breaker bar will flex much more than the ratchet. Making the ratchet more convenient most times. If i think something is really stuck, i will use the breaker first, or if...

    Thread reducer insert-- 3/8 x 16 to 1/4 x 20

Maybe check the insert for spark plug threads when they get blown out. They may be more durable.

To buy a set of new tools what brand

I strongly recommend Grey pneumatic impact sockets that are thin and light. I think they call them dual sockets. The set I have came with a nice ratchet, and driver handle. If I was going to start all over again I would get the dual sockets. They cover impact and chrome, nice ratchet to start...

To buy a set of new tools what brand

Find another Snap-On dealer. Your service by the dealer is extremely important when it comes to warranty. Not that you could not bypass him, (you could go around him).
