Space Heater Recommendation for Detached, 2-Car Garage, Spray Foam Insulated....

I used one of these radiators to keep my 18X24 detached garage above freezing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08G4RZXCD/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Then I added a small space heater to get it plenty warm: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQN8F4GN/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Granted, my light bill...

Awesome space and some super cool projects you got going on! I liked the idea of placing the sign close to the civic but your final position is solid - love the view when walking into the garage from the "office" area. Look forward to more updates!

Dan - I genuinely appreciate the insight; I really like hearing ideas and that sounds like a solid solution! The TV was going on the north wall as sketched up on the "Sketch-Up" draft; but you have me thinking now... I been looking on amazon for Peg Boards. Undecided if I wanted to stick with...

Still trying to get organized but got hit with the seasonal flu so I been out of it for the last week and still fighting a cough. Have to finish the details around the door and so far I have gone thru one tote of the dozen I have to go thru and begin clearing stuff out. This isn't a shop so...

    Shop or Garage

My "garage" is detached from my house but I still wouldn't consider it a shop. I have similar thoughts as the OP when it comes to describing a garage vs shop.

Loads of potential and great story - awesome being close to home. For the lighting, I picked up these on Amazon - pleasantly surprised with their output. Price has gone up since I purchased mine (just shy of 10 bucks a pop vs the now almost 12 bucks)...

Pluggin' away as time permits...or as energy permits. Was originally going to put up individual planks but stumbled across these panels at 35 bucks a pop at home depot - not a bad option for 70 bucks. Still have some finishing touches but you get the idea: 2023-02-13_09-40-02 by Sergio...

Finally made time and started on the man door install. Had a buddy stop by and lend me a hand...or more so I lent him a hand as I had no idea what I was doing. After loads of trial and error, we finally got it in a fairly decent position, given the circumstances. 20230122_114223 by Sergio...

That's a significate amount more than what I had to do - totally understand. I moved into my place in 2013 and really didn't touch the garage until recently; so I share the compassion for simply not being able to get things off the to-do list. Slow n steady...

Hello from a fellow PNW'ineer! It's pleasing seeing projects like this. I applaud your endeavor 👏 I know you touched on the "mud and taping" of the celling and totally understand your decision. I was recently quoted $3500 to mud/tape/finish my 18X24 garage and I couldn't bring myself to...

Anybody install Racedeck Free Flow in South Central PA?

For what it's worth - here is my recent install. I, too, kicked the idea around for years until I pulled the trigger last February and finally put it down a few weeks ago: 2023-01-03_09-09-53 by Sergio Zapien, on Flickr

How can I insulate an old garage without wrap?

I, too, had some odd spacing in my detached 18X24 garage. I didn't want to deal with the mess of measuring, cutting and fitting accordingly so I got a quote and had it done. I live in the PNW and got it installed for just shy of $2,200. I thought that was a bargain, considering how much work it...
