    Mezzanine design/engineering help.

Running a quick calc I get post spacing about 11 feet. This is based on 40 psf live load. You would be better buying 4 individual beams, should be cheaper. Goto a 11.25" deep beam, easily get away with only 2 posts. I based this design on Microlam LVL 2.0 from Truss Joist (Weyerhaeuser)

    Monolithic foundation

Biggest issues are what type of soil is below and will it be suspect to frost heave. That will answer the big question. If not connected to any other structure, it should move up and down uniformly. Can be an issue at doors, etc.

My new workshop. What would you do first?

First thing, ask how you can modify the trusses so you can get a lift in there. Haha, just kidding. Seems you have a pretty good list. I would get a small fridge out there, get it stocked with beer, and coffee pot on top. Put on a mobile base so you can move around easily. Put receptacles...

How to spend Lowes 200$ gift card??? So I have 200$ in gift cards from Lowes, trying to decide what to buy. I was thinking a nice set of drill bits, they have Cle-line bits by Greenfield industries. Was also thinking a 10" circular saw, but they dont sell them. (Go figure) What else do you...

    Valuted ceiling after completion?

Possible but never easy. I would search these forums first, so you can get a handle on all the implications. It appears you have spend alot of time and effort to do a nice build, dont want to ruin that with just hacking out structure.

Proven epoxy anchor system that’s works

Hilti HIT HY 200 Problem is hammering through might damage the underside of the slab, blowout, etc that you are now putting a anchor in a damaged hole. How thick is your slab at the lift? Might be a good idea to have a new base plate made that is epoxied down, and then the lift bolted to...
