I wouldn't exactly say a mill and lathe are useless. In your scenario it never made any sense to have them. But for some people the lathe and mill are the basis around everything that they do.

Agreed... #1. Great work!

Drives me insane when people use the very edge of an abrasive disk when there is no reason to at all. Then when you go to use the tool and actually need to use the edge it is already used up.

The older smaller diameter SnapOn 3/4" handles are very tough, but springy when really pulling on hard. Some people dont care for that (and in some situations for good reason). I think that might have something to do with why they stepped the diameter up a bit.

Does anybody own or know about Snap on GOFER1A & GOFER4A? The first one is a wire installation tool and the other is a pack of 12 velcro type straps in different colors. I figured it would be a easier than mechanics wire for some things, help keep my meter leads together in my box drawer etc...

It is much more difficult to torch out a tap or a bolt from a blind hole than it is a hole you can simply blow the bolt/tap out the other end. Good luck torching out a steel bolt/tap/extractor out of a steel part without blowing the threads out as well. And no a torch will not cut aluminum but...

O/A torch if it is broken off in cast iron and it is not a blind hole. Otherwise I would say EDM as well...
