    Do you think lining it with plastic (not a tarp) and a couple of holes in the bottom would make it last longer? Cap the top edge so water doesn't get down between the layers? One quick layer of urethane inside and out?

    I love the idea. If you plan on taking the ramp on and off a bunch, I'd use some sort of pins instead of screws. Also, I get that you'll be using a quad to pull the logs up, and that in some spots space may be tight, but that ramp still looks awful steep. I think cable would work better than chain.

    Then those rowdy neighbor’s kids showed up again. They run around like they own the place. If you look real closely at the first picture you can see their heads just barely sticking up over the top of the beans. And no, they’re not laying down.

    Was playing a little with the Caddy. It starts really hard, so I put 24v to the starter and it cranked(s) just fine. Had a fuel leak, so I stopped what I was doing for a few minutes (10?) to fix the leak. Heard/felt a big bang and looked up. I guess I should have run the coil on just 12v...

    I'll admit that it's not a lack of ability, but my mental tolerance for anything over 80* just isn't there any more.
