    who makes better sockets

I think the right question is...what are you going to do with them? Are you a DIY, what is your motive to wanting to buy new tools other than shiny glittery factor. If you work on cars maybe one week out of a month, maybe reconsider pricing. Are you planning on restoring or working on...

    New Craftsman C3 Merchandise

Not exactly a hot deal since I didn't get the price, but wanted to inform you guys that own there C3 power tools, like I do. I could never justify milwaukee or dewalt cordless, although I want too. I stopped by sears to pick up a couple sockets and found these being unboxed on the spot. No...

    I love you garage journal!

I forgot how I found out about this site also. But, I'm glad I did. Being of a younger generation, not a lot of my friends know about cars or hand tools. And any time I explain to my gf about them it goes right over her head. I love tools and using my hands to repair and create. However...

    Craftsman 12pc Nutdriver $19 @ Kmart

I saw this in southeastern va. However I don't know if it's regional or not. I know for s fact that all nutdrivers are made in USA. Its the same set sears sells. They also had a good deal on USA oil wrenches too. About 7 bucks a pop.

I went to kmart. Picked up all these which were on sale. Bottom three USA top two China, I've always wanted a battery tender. Plus, I've heard nothing but positive reviews on the battery tender plus. Needed to replace my China made oil filter wrench's, the grips were falling off.

Its not a rough finish. Its some sort of coating they put on the socket, If you scratch at it a little you'll see that its chrome underneath.

    Craftsman 12pc Nutdriver $19 @ Kmart

I was at Kmart today, which was like walking into the early 90's, but thats beside the point. I saw this on the rack, there were a few sets left. I think its a good deal if you need some stocking stuffers or want some nut drivers. Usually goes for $30. Being $19, it makes it around 1.50 per...

Used the group on Coupon to snag the 36" Cman pry bar, looks pretty solid. I like the handle on it. Just wish it came with a striking cap. <a href="http://s290.photobucket.com/user/sbyrne92/media/IMG_20141012_165146456.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img...

my favorite HF purchase this year

Yes sockets clip into each end. 1/4" and 3/8". The difference between this and a regular long ratchet is its slim head design and long beam. These are great for doing engine work, for side mounted engines. Also if you blessed enough to have a lift, or work in a shop. These work wonders when...

new professional grade harbor freight ratchets

I got to use the 3/8 composite ratchet today, and it was ok. I like the look, however "palming" the ratchet head will cause the selector switch to go neutral if you apply to much force. I know most of you will say I am using the ratchet wrong, but when the fastener requires less torque, choking...

    Craftsman Premium

So I just got done replacing a valve cover gasket on my gf's car. It was a mess, however it was the first time I got to use my 3/8 Premium Craftsman Ratchet with 84 teeth. I have to say I was pretty impressed. When I worked at a shop, I had a few snap-on ratchets, all dual 80's. The...

    Harbor Freight cut off wheels

I used their 3" die grinder version, I think it was 4 for $1. I had to cut off an exhaust clamp, that had shifted horizontally which was right next to the frame. So I couldn't use my guard. I was terrified the entire time, I changed the wheel each time I started to see the mesh holding it...

    Saw something interesting today

I've seen one, but it was 2010. They pulled up to the shop I worked at and sold some stuff to a few of the techs that were there. I was in a good relation with the snap-on man so I didn't buy anything. I haven't seen one for a long time. Since SK is coming "back" I would bet more dealers...

    Saw this today at Sears...

I heard Mayhew is getting a US vendor to make their handles. So in a year or so they will be 100% US made.
