Picked up this husky serpentine belt tool kit from HD. Good quality for $25

Picked one up at my local. They all had dust all over them, must've not sold many in the past. I opened it up in store to check the quality, they look great. I have an old Made in USA KD serpentine belt kit that I used before, but this one beats that on both the quality and functionality.

They're not made in USA. Those are the stock photos SEARs used since they sold Craftsman name to Stanley. Some haven't been updated since 2014. Most likely Made in China. If you can go to your local ACE and spec out the sets, you may find one Made in USA. But its been slim since 2018.

TSC is doing there typical after Christmas sale. All outerwear is marked down 20%. Picked up some new Carhartt insulated coveralls (Since I got fat) for 80 bucks which is a good deal to me.

The #2 and 1/4 are USA made. The pocket and stubby are made in Taiwan. Very good quality across all 4 of them. Individually it’s a little over $40 so $20 is a deal.

Sorry about the delay. This was the Klein bundle I was taking about. I needed the stubby and the 4in1 pocket driver. The #2 and 1/4 were just a plus.

Went by my local HD to pick up the Klein hand tool bundle for 19.99 (great deal) And saw these two items.

Thought this was a pretty good buy. They’re clearing out all the old shop vacs for the HART brand. I have a shop vac like this but the hose is 1-1/4” and it doesn’t work well for larger debris and the wheels on it ****. Paid $40

Saw these tape measures at my lowes on discount. They’re good for that price. Auto lock too.

Went by yesterday and a lot of Carhartt and other work wear was discounted. Picked up a mock neck vest usually 69.99 for 39.99.

I had a old co-worker who don’ worked for Home Depot at one point. I asked her about the penny clearance and what not. She said she would call her fiancé at the time to come to the store when the items were on crazy clearance (since it was frowned upon for them to buy the items). So yeah...

Thanks guys for the replies. Guess I’ll have to keep my head up and wait for an update from Malco. I got an older craftsman set and a few newer Milwaukee’s. Just like stuff made in USA.

I remember a year or two ago there was a big buzz in the tool world about locking pliers (otherwise known as vise grips) being made in the USA again. However, since then I haven't heard much news or seen anything on the tool forums. Anybody know something I don't? Just looking for more...

Go now. These tape measurers are at a crazy discount. I bought both during the holidays for the original price.

Your use case may be dependent on the age of vehicle. But all I keep a 1/4 ratchet kit, multi bit screwdriver, 1/2” breaker with the lug nut size attached, and my Leatherman. My feeling is if you need to do a roadside repair you ought to tow it home.

YouTube tool guys usually have it out.

These icon threads remind me of the craftsman USA threads a few years ago. There’s no point in even having a review thread if people keep arguing USA vs foreign tools. Who gives a **** anymore.
