    Budget Snap Ring Pliers

I have nothing else to add. My problem is I've used so many cheap ones that now I'm gun shy on purchasing a quality set. I've been considering a set of these. http://www.wihatools.com/300seri/346serie.htm

Digital torque wrench that is good quality but not unreasonably expensive?

X2 on everything you have said. The side LED's also show red if you over torque. Showing the final torque is a huge plus; I also like the memory pre-sets for oft used torque specs and the TechAngles ability to combine torque plus degrees without having to reset the wrench. IMHO you can't beat...

Digital torque wrench that is good quality but not unreasonably expensive?

I'm not sure of your budget or what might break your bank, but this was my weapon of choice when it came to a 3/8 torque wrench. I couldn't be happier...

Seeking good screwdrivers with a lifetime warrenty.

IMO, Craftsman phillips head drivers are the worst I've ever used. Here is a set from Wiha Tools; 12 piece set for $58.62. It comes with a lifetime warranty. http://www.wihatools.com/special_08.htm If I'm going to remove one wood screw, it's time for the power tools.

    Why Buy Snap-on?

It may sound silly but I love their fender covers, and I haven't found a better deal anywhere.

    Why Buy Snap-on?

When I asked, my rep told me no Solus, Verus, Kool Kare, etc.

    Why Buy Snap-on?

What do you want? You can't get the big stuff through SEP, but you can enter Snap-On part numbers in the SEP search box and find items with the discount that aren't listed on the SEP site. Play around with it, and you might be surprised. Matco gets a hard time on this site, but I've been more...

    Best blowgun

If you can find one, a Binks Model 190 is a great pistol-grip air gun. I used one daily in a previous job; it's very comfortable, even with continuous use. I'm currently using a Milton S120 in my home shop.

    Which plier set?

I've ordered through the SEP site before. If I can't find what I'm looking for on the SEP site, I will copy and paste a part number from the regular Snap-on website and do a search for that number on the SEP site. The discount will be included. I've had a lot of success finding items that way.

Does anyone buy welding beanies or hats online?

I bought mine from cyberweld.com. My daughters bought me one for Father's Day from Tractor Supply; it shrank a bunch when it was washed though.

eBay bidders, do they ever shop around??

X2 I've saved a bunch of money on car parts. I check E-bay before almost every purchase I make--parts, tools, etc.

If you only had $400 for tools what would you get?

Dave had some really good suggestions. I didn't even think of purchasing pliers or vise-grips, and I couldn't agree more with his opinions on tool warranty's. Buy good quality tools and don't abuse them.

If you only had $400 for tools what would you get?

Really? I looked at your list and I don't think we are too far apart with our suggestions. I suggested a set of tools that included 1/2" drive because the OP stated in his original post, "For example Several years ago I had a Craftsman box stolen out of my truck it contained hand tools that...
