Medium thread locker for lag bolts

How much weight will this angle iron be supporting? Can the Simpson hanger be removed? Could you remove the bracket, through drill your hole then using a paddle bit, enlarge the hole behind the Simpson and use a washer and a Nylock or cone nut then reinstall the Simpson?

Medium thread locker for lag bolts

What about using a split washer on the lag bolt?

Remote Wifi Momentary switch for garage door

Yes. You want a momentary output. Basically on then off. If the module doesn’t do that but it does a timed output, set it for the shortest duration

Remote Wifi Momentary switch for garage door

The switch wiring is just showing a change in state, more than likely a closure. You could verify with a meter on the existing switch or even just touch the two wires together. If the door activates, you have your answer. Wiring the external module would look like this. Power to module would...

Steel overhang off a shipping container workshop

My old gym had two shipping containers with old gym equipment in them, more than 2,000#s. Between the two containers, they ran cable and camo netting/tarp. The wind shifted the containers. It’d definitely be a concern. They were just sitting on a concrete parking area.

    Pole Barn End

Clearly they aren’t needed for structural reasons since the building is already standing. RR buildings on you tube sets a steel saddle in the concrete and puts their posts into it. Not sure what a post like that costs but what about a metal embed plate in the slab then square tubing angle cut...

Sounds great. Probably would sound even better on a lawyer’s letterhead.

Best drill bits for drilling hardened chrome rod

I’d make a flat spot with a grinder so the bit won’t walk then go 3/16” as a pilot and right to 1/2” for your finished size

Best drill bits for drilling hardened chrome rod

What size hole? Drilling the end or through the diameter? How many holes? How accurate do your holes need to be?

    Stability of locking/leveling casters

My buddy puts these on the tab and slot word tables he sells. He is pretty **** so I’m thinking they’d work just fine for your application.

    Pulling concrete post bases

I’d try the lag bolt in the middle first but I’d also stack the deck in my favor and soak the area around the concrete

Lower Garage Door tracks by 2 1/2".

If you cut the required material off the bottom and lower everything, horizontal tracks, spring etc, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Will the top of the door still be in contact with the top plate for sealing purposes if you do this?

    Garage colors with metal ceiling

Once you hang stuff on the walls and have rights light pointing down, it won’t be noticeable. The inevitable handprints will be so male sue you ask which paints cleans easy

Standard Lift overhead door to Roof Pitch Lift Conversion

When I had my door converted to high lift, it involved new drums, new track sections, new springs and a set of springs that were flat steel that pushed on the top panel in the raised position. I believe he said they were to keep a bit of tension on the cables when it was in the up position.

Garage, shop lighting design ideas...2400 sq. ft

I think the UFO style light will look a bit odd on that right ride with the steeper pitch. Is your center height 16’ or 20’? I used 240w UFOs in the center of my shop which is at 20’. Along the sides, about 16’, I used 200w UFOs. A linear ( rectangular) high bay may be a better option and...

    Shop Press Question

Well, I started with Unobtanium but it was too soft. From there I switched to Chi-nesium which was better. Ultimately I ended up using material used in the making of imported bed frames. It’s harder than Calculus 🤣

Above 1200 Sq/FT Finally getting a seat at the grown up table

So yesterday a buddy had a free minute and Drew up a few parts for the grill in Solidworks. He took it a step further and created a model of what the wheels and Santa Maria height adjuster will look like. All this in about 20 minutes. I really need to buckle down and learn Solidworks. Sent the...
