Which one would you give up first?

I've been married for 15yrs. My wife "is along for the ride". I control the money and she allows me to do whatever I want. From cars, guns, motorcycles, and my 28x30 finished garage to stopping at the ********** (when business warrants) she lets me do as I please. It's a two way street and I...

    Power Washing Floor

Spray some Simple Green and lightly scrub the area's in question. 4,000-5,000 psi should do the trick. I've even sprayed Gunk (engine cleaner) on concrete and it has worked as well.

    BBQ Grill Propane and Charcoal

I researched the Char Griller Duo and the feedback was mostly negative. Most complained that the grill was poorly constructed.

    BBQ Grill Propane and Charcoal

I've heard that having 2 grills is the way to go..The Weber I'm buying does have the ignitor system so fluid wont be used. I use to start my natural gas grill and let it run for 15-20 minutes so a charcoal grill should be about the same as far as start up is concerned.

    BBQ Grill Propane and Charcoal

I decided to go with the Weber Charcoal grill with built in ignitor system. I'm replacing my wood deck 450sq ft. with all Trex. I had a natural gas Char Broil grill that was built into my deck and since I'm replacing my deck I decided it was time for a new grill. I wanted a grill that could use...

    BBQ Grill Propane and Charcoal

This is off topic but figured MOST garage guys are into grilling. I'm in the market for a stainless steel propane / charcoal combo grill. Like to spend under $1,000. Anyone have a suggestion? Please include the make and model # if possible. Gonna store it in my garage and it will be used at...

    New Detached 24X24

Good for you taking on the majority of the build yourself! I consider myself handy but didn't have the "stones" to do my garage on my own. I bet you are learning all kinds of new things. Good luck and congrats on your new garage.

    Garage 32 x 32 Started Today

Looks like its coming along nicely. I like the door on the side of your garage. The ceiling lights are a little different from the lighting I've seen in other garages but I bet you will save some dough and they will light up your garage just fine. Again, your brick is sweet!

    thoughts on garage computer?

My router signal reaches out to my garage. I've got a laptop out in the garage that works perfect. I've got my motorcycle repair manuals in PDF on my computer and love being able to pull up a page and look at it. Also, being able to view YouTube when I'm stuck on something is great.

    Wall Street Journal Garage Article

Great article. My family thinks I'm crazy with how I've finished my garage. It holds 2 cars comfortably as we'll as 3 motorcycles plus my workbench and tool cabinets. The attic above has lighting and electrical outlets and has plenty of room for storage. 28x30 and its over 20ft tall...

    Garage lighting 16'x21' w/ 8' ceilings - T8 or LED

Rumor has it that florescent lighting may slowly be discontinued. Go with the LED current technology. I have 6 8ft florescent lights in my garage (28x30) that I did not hardwire on purpose due to this potential reason. If I cant get florescent light bulbs in the future I will have to change out...

Getting ready to start new 30x30 garage

I put my entry door on the front of my garage. This allows me to view the garage door and entry door from the back of my house. (door is not out of sight) Also, consider glass block windows with vents. The glass block lets in enough light but also prevents people from looking in and breaking...

Who has a jackshaft garage door opener? Looking for options.

I've got a LiftMaster Jackshaft opener that lifts my 18ft x9ft insulated garage door. The opener is compact and is located next to the garage door at the top right hand side. Super clean ( no chain rail on the ceiling running into the main unit ) and super quite. Paid right around $400 (not...
