    Thanks guys, this is a first for me. This grinder is only the 2nd that I'm aware of in this area. I have visited the pre-block thread and posted a picture of the 1/3hp grinder from the 1952 Craftsman catalog I have.

    It's a heavy sucker for sure. I don't even know if I'll keep it. I already have a grinder (Taiwan) that I got as a Christmas present years ago and serves me fine. I just could not let it be trashed that's why I saved it.

    There is some numbers stenciled on the bottom tin cover, I'll have to take a closer look at them. When I had it test running it took forever for the wheels to finally stop. I was actually thinking the switch would turn it on but not off. Pulled the plug just in case. I'll see what I can do about...

    How do you date YOM on block grinders. I picked a freebee 1/4hp up today @ recycle ctr that has a crown top badge and a push on/off switch. It does run but filthy and missing to outside wheel guards.

    Care and feeding of a small air compressor

    I really don't think you'll have enough volume of air to sandblast. If your not going to be using it for an extended period, I'd drain it. Otherwise I leave mine pressurized.

    Make sure the trap joint under the sink is tight. I chased that smell in our guest bath for two weeks thinking it was dried out trap or clogged vent, when it was a connection under sink that needed tightening. Put a tablespoon of cooking oil in traps that don't get used much. Keeps the water...
