Baldor bench grinder gets really hot!
It very well could be bearings if you pull it apart look at bearings first If its a baldor i would bet the windings are fine

Good hole saws
i have the bimetal set of porter cables from home depot. they are decent for the money. i had them professionally sharpened and now they are real nice.

Harbor Freight sledge hammers
its just a hunk of steel. My main concern would be the handle makes sure its hard wood and looks good no crack etc.
