    ive just bought 3 record vices for the grand total of £17 2 no6 vices with funnily 6" jaws and a no34 with 4 1/2" jaws couldnt be more happy with them. what I cannot get my head around is what they charge for these things new. will post some pics later when I take some.

    you said you wanted a cheap SO wrench, Bahco are owned by SO so if you buy one you're therefore getting a cheap SO wrench. Honestly out of all he engineers I have ever worked with all of them have Bahcos and none would have a bad thing to say about them.

    I once lost a bahco 18" adjustable in the bilge of the ship for about 6 months until one day one of the apprentices came out with it after been sent in to do some bilge diving

    the reason I dont use these tools is 1 I value my health not slipping off with those universal tools and 2 I love collecting tools

    all my sockets up to 24mm 15/16 are 3/8 just for the fact that they're lighter to carry. as a famous bike racer guy martin says 1/2 is for heavy engineering I.e hes a truck mechanic.

    Most overlooked tool brand for ratchets & wrenches?

    I love all my facom ones got the new pear head ratchets to replace my stahlwille ones just because I work in a lot of confined spaces. the stahlwille ones are still great ratchets

    Started work in the Royal Navy as a marine engineer now work as a maintainence engineer in a biscuit factory yum
