A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

Si i removed the bottom section and cut a hole. I taped it over, marked it out, then drilled the corners and used a jigsaw to cut. I then filed to the lines and painted. You can see the end result here.

A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

OK so not much time on the garage over the last few months but lots in it on various projects. Not sure if we have many PC geeks like me on here but my old gaming PC (another hobby) was getting....well old so time for a replacement. I have always built my own PC's and plan to use my old one for...

Micro "stick" computers for garage use

In my experience they are very limited, saying that a great simple option and low cost. A used laptop is also a good low cost option, more functional and handy to move around to where you need it. Depends what you need in the garage i suppose.

Just curious - Any one ever live in their shop?

Would be great to have the option! Not sure i would want to permanently but to have the option to 'live in' whilst working on a project for a few weeks/months would be great. Love the idea of parking a camper van in your garage and using that.

    Workshop 88

I am not a fan of having tools on show, i like the clean look, but you have done a really good job of having everything to hand but it still looks tidy. Really like the look of your setup. Fantastic job on the milling machine. I would love one. If i had the choice i would have one over a car...

A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

I also cleaned and wire brushed my small 1T vice. I did consider buying a used larger vice but this one is fine for the bench. I may build a wheeled steel bench at some stage so will get a larger vice for that. This one i sprayed with the same paint i used for the cabinets. Bolted to the bench...

A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

An hour here and there so have found time to refurbish my pillar drill which i got second hand a while ago. Started like this. Stripped it down. Sanded and wire brushed everything down. Cleaned it up and taped off areas not to be painted. I used Mammerite hammered black paint. Reassembled...

    Accel Junky's Dual Phase 3-Car Attached/Detached Build

The GT4 looks an amazing car. You are a lucky guy! The garage looks great, sorry to hear about the floor issue. I was keen on tiles but that has made me think. If you move and start again what would you do different?

A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

In trying to keep costs down i thought i would fit something to the benches i already had. So i bought a pack of planed whitewood i think it was 12mm x 44 mm. I just used this to fit a facing piece proud of the bench top for a sheet of ply that i can change easily when it gets chewed up. For...

Thanks guys appreciate the comments. That's good of you to say because i was thinking i wouldn't be doing anything different to anyone else, not for everyone but its what i was going for  Its a 12" Skywatcher dobsonian. A lot of scope for the price point, everything is manual but i...
