    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Actually really useful for blowing off small areas/crevices were a full size blower would be cumbersome. It is 100% a nice to have tool but by no means a need to have tool, basically luxury tool.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

To be fair Makita was first to market with the XSA01Z in 2023. But yes I agree the other big name brands not comming out with a similar product sooner is stupid. Got tired of waiting and found the brand Mellif on amazon, its a direct copy of the Makita for significantly less and they come in...

    Milwaukee Socket Set Question

IMO the only reason to go with Milwaukee socket sets is if your doing a mobile packout setup, otherwise there are better options for less. Just off the top of my head you could get a full 1/4-3/8 Quinn (taiwan made) socket set for $90 with current sale going on.

    1/4 universal metric sockets

Use the oring trick for those floppy ones. Haven’t needed 1/4 universal sockets so never bought a set. However, if I was to buy a set I would be looking at Koken.

Looking for a high quality parts cleaner.

Worked part time in bike shops over the years and used basically two different type. Solvent/Varsol and water/biodegradable based. Varsol is petroleum based, similar to kerosene. Stuff works! Just has the downside of working with a real chemical, so wear PPE. Also can be a pain to properly...

Score of 3 new 41CR19/65-3 battery packs

Have you opened the case to see what brand/model 18650 they are? Do you own a battery spot welder? If not you will need one if you plan to build/repair battery packs.

Icon Torque Wrench Problem, or not?

I have this torque wrench and my serial number is different than yours. Mine has a little bit of axial (in and out) play at the handle when locked at 5 ft-lbs but when you change the setting to 70 ft-lbs there is zero play. This little bit of play is normal and I would not be concerned.

What ft lbs range of torque wrench??

I have gone by these guidelines for mechanical torque wrenches but in the modern era of digital torque wrenches I wonder if the 10%/80% guideline applie?

Another Tekton Protype MTR4 Tool Roll

Love the concept but way to expensive. If i'm paying $180 it needs to come with tools. Or is that was US made cost these days?

Lisle 37960 and Merry HS175C electrical disconnect pliers. Got the Lisle a couple weeks ago and they are alright, but wasn’t really impressed. So I got the Merry set and wow these are what I should have ordered the first time around. Would recommend Merry over the Lisle.

Tool design revisions - cutting manufacturing costs?

More like CEO/President questions: Bottom line needs to be better so I get my bonus. Order Engineers to redesign so it cost less to make. If it breaks sooner who cares, just means customer has to buy another and I get more money.
