I’m curious - how many of you have given up on impact sockets

This! I recently changed my socket line-up to Sunex 1/2” impacts, Duo 3/8”, and chrome 1/4” (trying to switch over to Tekton from Gearwrench). Couldn’t be happier and I think it’s the way to go for homeowner/weekend warrior where space and money can be a premium.

A few eBay purchases: Bahco 5 and 6 piece file sets. Really like these and glad I went with them over piecing together NOS Nicholson. Handles are comfortable, clean easily, and the finish is great. Also the Mayhew punch set. Put these to work along with the Gedore snap-ring pliers last...

Looking for low profile socket organizer

I have the HF trays. I scored and broke off the dividers with the sizes on them. I like them much better now as I can put all my sockets close together and not have to worry about my OCD and skipped socket sizes. They are about as thin as you can get height wise.

I have the same two drills at home and have been using them for quite a few months, I love them. Very ergo, much more so than the Ridgid Gen5X's that they replaced. I got the 4ah batteries off ebay and haven't looked back.

    Gearwrench Warranty, does it exist??

I just warrantied a small 90° pick from my 84000D set the other day. It broke while pulling a cotter pin (yes, I know, I used the wrong tool, but it was a VERY small cotter pin). Called up the warranty number and explained what happened, lady on the phone was super kind and said "i'll just...

    Snap Ring Pliers?

I sprang for the Gedore pliers and I’ve been happier than a pig in sh*t with them. They are of excellent quality and price through Amazon was fair.

    Decent quality adjustable wrenches

I have a few of the Channellock Code Blue adjustable wrenches made by Irega in Spain. Price is reasonable and quality is excellent.

Is your toolbox a disorganized mess or neat?

I keep it organized and wipe clean all my tools after every job with WD-40. *edit* I’m glad I’m not the only “perfectionist” when it comes to my tools.

    Gearwrench Warranty, does it exist??

I've warrantied several sockets through Gearwrench. Most likely you got a bad apple on the phone when you called. Call back and get a different person on the other end of the phone, be polite and they should send out a replacement. From the looks of the pictures (13mm?) that might classify as...

New ICON 8 pc Snap Ring Plier Set

S 8100 is the 4 piece set. Looks like Amazon dropped the price on the S 8008 set by a few bucks as well.

New ICON 8 pc Snap Ring Plier Set

Ahh, coming from overseas I see. I settled on the 4 piece set a few hours ago for $66 shipped. Figured that’s a good starting point and if I really need the 90 degree tipped pliers I can purchase those separately. I couldn’t justify the $128 price tag for the 8 piece set currently with how...

New ICON 8 pc Snap Ring Plier Set

If I may ask, where did you find the Gedores for roughly $80? Everywhere I look, they are in excess of $120.

    Dewalt Polisher?

I have the HF DA polisher, the old model that is becoming harder to find. With a coupon it’s about $50. Pair that with a new Astro backing plate, some Lake Country pads, and Meguiars products, it has been a great machine. It vibrates a little too much for my taste and it’s somewhat noisy...

Cheapest Place to buy Grey Pneumatic Online? (USA)

Yep, tooltopia is an authorized retailer, and the cheapest of the authorized retailers to boot. I just bought the same set about a month ago and I am very pleased with the quality of the sockets. You will have no regrets!

I cleared out a bunch of Gearwrench NOS that I’ll never use and upgraded what little I have left. Sunex 1/2” impact socket master set w/ the extensions and swivel. I got rid of both my Gearwrench (COO China) sets for these. The Gearwrench have some nicer features like a longer taper on the...

    Stubby 3/8 impact wrench.

I can't compare the 3/8 NANO as I only have the 1/2 ONYX, but if it is anything like the 1/2, it's an awesome tool for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
