Open up the machine and make sure gas solenoid is working. Test wires to see if it's powering up when you squeeze trigger. If so, check for gas flow obstruction on outlet side. If not, check wiring. Pretty simple, should be easy to figure out once you have a look.

The place I regularly run into 12 point bolts are the special pivot bolts on Toro reel mowers. Only time I've specifically taken out a 12 point socket (3/8") in the last 6 months.

Try a local welding supplier. The one I get gases from rents them, pretty reasonably too.

Your probably right about just trying for another person. I was just so surprised when the rep I spoke with didn't even pause before making an excuse. All I was looking for was someone to say " send them in and we will see what we can do". And I still have not received a response from my email.

There is one close by, but I didn't buy them from him, and he said he would rather have me try to get them replaced because they give him the runaround on warranty replacements. I do spend some money on hardware and lubricants there so maybe he will do me a solid if need be.

Might help you to download and read a manual for one of the Miller Dynasty DX models. Will help you understand what you're reading for specs and functions. They are going to be as full featured as anything you'll look at, and generally Miller manuals are pretty good.
