There are spots that the paint isn't sticking well, but as tenants have come and gone with different businesses, so has the paint. Its really not to bad.

Need advice on stripping paint off brick building

OK, here is update. I have spoke to a couple of contractors and the assessor's office. I know now, who owns the building, and as luck would have it, he is a friend of my buddy's dad. And I know some of the financial information about it. And that information was good! If it works out, there...

Need advice on stripping paint off brick building

Here is the building. I did resize it, so you could see the detail better. I hear ya Zeke! However before I walk away, if things worked out, I would paint the exterior of it.

Need advice on stripping paint off brick building

Good points! The brick is smooth, and I don't see any areas that the mortar is missing, I know that doesn't mean the mortar will withstand the pressure washer. The structure seems solid. I don't know if this establishes a build period or not, but the front wall extends past the rood line and...

Need advice on stripping paint off brick building

I've come across a local building I may potentially buy to do a convert it to my garage/living quarters. Before I go to deep into this, one of the biggest factors (not a deal breaker, but still a major consideration) is the exterior. Its a old brick and mortar building that has been painted...

These are nice, very similar to what I want to build, but I have to agree with Pablo, there needs to be more space between the doors.

    work benches... from scratch

I think this is the place for this question. As we look at these benches, what do you wish you would have done different or incorporated into your bench. Does not have to be something from this thread.

The island would be, the welding table has nuts welding in the bottom of the legs with leveling bolts.

I just moved into a duplex with a one car garage....

Good idea! No the engine stand does not fold up. In fact, I hate the way the legs are, its more stable I think than the stand that have one leg, but its much harder to store with the two legs. I welded an nice aluminum drip pan for it, but have thought many times about modifying it, but think...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? After finally getting moved in, I started cleaning and dusting off my equipment, a year and a half in a storage unit yielded a lot of dust and some surface rust on a few pliers and my drill press. Then I tried to figure out how to arrange everything...
