    Clausing drill press

No, I didn't get the sander. I really don't have a use for it or the space.

    Clausing drill press

I feel stupid for asking because it's probably a simple answer... What's the knob for on the left side?

    Clausing drill press

It's a model 1764 It has a Howell International 3/4 HP 1725 rpm motor 110/220V It's missing the top cover, which I didn't realize until I got home but it's not a big deal. Everything else is nice and tight, all knobs and moving pieces are free and not rusted. I'm pretty happy with it, my back...

    Clausing drill press

Got it! Will post more details tomorrow. I know it's a 3/4 HP motor. It runs smooth, quiet and the speed adjustment works too. It still in the truck. It's actually a bit bigger in person than it appeared in photo. He also had this craftsman belt/disc sander for $75...

How exactly do you use a tap on a drill press since typically they only spin in one direction?

    Help with floor pour issues.

6" slab rebar or not is more than sufficient. I know your ordeal was a PITA but it looks like you'll have a nice floor out of it all in the end. Even a slab done by a good crew will have some minor high/low spots. Yours is nice and flat now. Enjoy it, it will be nice.

Lack of good instructional videos on slab finishing

You might ask the supplier to add more retarder in the mix to give you a longer work time. Adding too much water will weaken the mix and reduce strength but makes workability easier. There are admixtures that promote workability and set times without compromising strength. A power trowel is...

    Cost of concrete ?

Cement is just one component of concrete. It is the "glue" that holds everything together. Concrete is comprised of aggregates such as rock and sand, water, chemical admixtures which modify the properties of the concrete, and of course cement along with slag or flyash occasionally. Calling a...

    Cost of concrete ?

Right in the ballpark, if not a little cheaper where you are. Don't forget to add (or ask about) taxes, environmental fees, fuel surcharge, short load fee if applicable The "extra" **** adds up

Can you change my profile name?

"Can" and "will" are different things. Of course it CAN be done. It's a simple change for admin. Whether it WILL be done is a different story. I'm guessing too many people asked too many times for this service (because they are a PITA) and now the answer is just "NO". What difference does a...

    Tool truck freebies

Got this x 2 and my buddy got one. We didn't even buy anything that day, just warranted a screwdriver and triple square bit. I don't carry a balance either. I'm a "cash sale" walk on and I just pay for what I want or need. I don't have a shop, I just call him and he meets me somewhere when he is...
