    34.5" which I find is a nice compromise for working while standing up or tig welding sitting on a stool. I am 5'10"

    Right before the whole world stopped I was able to pickup this 12x36 Enco lathe I bought at an auctions. I cut it close, just few days before the pickups were suspended until..:headscrat I'm not too impressed with the old tanker desk stand but very excited about finally having a proper size lathe.

    can you make a narrower opening bottom die, you should be able to do 1/2" leg

    Appreciate it. Shop is approximately 1100 sqft, 4 bays 3 of which are double deep. Unfortunately it holds 4 cars so my shop space is limited to less than half of the total square footage.

    Made some progress on my Pexto slit shear conversion to a bead roller. Had to extend the upper shaft, mill a T-slot into the upper trunion casting. Here I made some test passes with Baileigh 1/4 round dies. Next step is to add DC motor to the setup oh and maybe a coat of paint?

    These were casted without a name since they were sold to snap on and other brands and would make it much easier to white label. Notice both stamps 17XX, the 65 refers to 6.5" jaw width etc. for example:

    I would strongly recommend to go with either square column or even better a knee mill. Here is my Enco Knee 6x26 knee mill. In midwest these come up from time to time for 700-2k range.
