    snap on quality gone downhill?

I got a new ratchet a couple weeks ago and the handle was put on backwards. Snap On really needs to get a handle on their QC. I wonder if they have pissed off their employees?

That box and top is 6-7k. Looks like a KRL 722 with a stainless top.

A 280 is alot better saw than the 290, but the price reflects that as well.

    "US-made prices" for Chinese-made/Asian-made product

Dead on! Screwing over this country just so the select few can line their pockets. Im tired of the **** and refuse to buy foreign tools. Just like when vice grip moved to china, and the prices for them in the store never went down.

New 3/4" IR Impact... no Power.. Can you help

My 2161xp takes a ton of air. I have a 80 gallon tank, 185 psi, 26 CFM compressor and it takes all that it has. My father in law has a cheep harbor freight 1 inch gun and its alot better. More torque and less air. I have a 1/2 inch hose to mine as well. Im really not happy with this gun.

Snap ON, Where is it Made?

Yeah I read it, though there was no need to go to the SO web site due to a member posting a link, and I now see it was not correct. I asked a simple question and did not need a smart @ss reply. Im still not 100% sure its a USA tool, why would they no longer stamp them? Im not here to bash or run...

    Sears/K-Mart closing 100+ stores

I walked into a Kmart 2 weeks ago(had a 5 hour lay over, and had to do something) and I thought I was in back to the future movie and just steped out into the 1980's! They need to clean up and update their stores. Keep up or get out is what I say. Everying in there was high priced as well.

Snap ON, Where is it Made?

Thanks for the reply. North Korea is not what I wanted to hear! UGH! I might as well go buy harbor freight tools, and save an @ss load of money. I pay alot for snap on, and I want to suport an american worker doing so. And as far as buying used, I do that as well but sometimes the tool is wore...

Snap ON, Where is it Made?

After purchasing my last 3 Snap on ratchets, Im starting to notice a trend. The "USA" stamping is no more. Are they now made in china or some other country? The new SF80A had the handle on wrong, the number was on the back, and the rest of my snap on ratchets have it on the front. Easy enough...

    Case IH Socket Sets=Snap On?

Are the current Snap On sockets US made? The 3/4 set looks just like the Snap On set. Guess I will look at the box next time I go in to see where they are made at.

    Case IH Socket Sets=Snap On?

Anyone own any of the Case IH socket sets? I have been told they are snap on, and they do look the same to me, even down to the packaging they come in. They are about 1/4 of the snap on price though. Opinions? Im not concerned that they say Case IH on them insted of snap on, I buy tools to use...

question about used snap on tools

If its such a good deal then why did the snap on dealer not buy it to re sell? Everyone says what it worth but don't have the cash to back it up, or will not give what he says its worth. 30% of retail is about right, not 30% off of retail.
