Not sure how much you are priming prior to starting but if you only are doing one or two pumps try doing a good 7-10 pumps first and see how it runs. I've seen a few occasions where the bowl is dry and the only fuel it gets is from the primer b/c it doesn't get enough of a vacuum to draw from...

Staple a strap inside close to the hinge on both the door and cabinet. Staple points and strap length will determine door travel. Do top and bottom if needed for strength. Done right it'll be low profile and not be unsightly like the other methods suggested.

HF creeper is not quality by any means. If you heavier or plan to use it to sit upright on skip it as it'll flex and rub on the ground making harder to move around on. You don't need an expensive dogbone but the standard wooden or metal framed ones would suit most.

Not sure you know this based on that comment but..... There should be tabs on the base that get hammered in to keep the perches from pulling up and out when picking them up, hanging, etc.
