    Found another site with a simpler way to think about this, thinking in terms of compression ratio and using real, metric units instead of hogsheads and furlongs: https://labs.ece.uw.edu/cam/tutorials/CompressedGases.pdf 14 cfm ≈ 396 lpm 7500 liters / 396 lpm ≈ 19 minutes!

    Lowriders, minitruckers and kustom guys use scuba tanks for air ride suspension when they don't want the noise and complexity of running compressors. That's what made me wonder if this could work.

    Yes, I know. I've been an Airgas customer for years because we use three different calibration gases and N2 in our shop all day long. Nosy neighbors aren't an issue. I don't want an oilless or sounded deadened compressor. Simply asking for a hand with the math here, guys.

    Here is a regulator for this type of tank with double the flow rating that I need (1500 cfh over 840 cfh needed for the cabinet), capable of regulating down to 100 psi. This is the first one that popped up on Google.

    Interesting, let's do some math then. So know two things: The specs for the cabinet are 14 cubic feet per minute @ 90 psi. A type 1A CGA-580 cylinder is filled 300 gallons @ 2500 psi at about 70 degrees F. But maybe it's actually 240 gallons? And Airgas doesn't sell them at quite 2500 psi...
