    I have an IR 111 3/8" air ratchet, it's 20 years old and I can't kill it...and my knuckles thank me for it... its got a mechanism that doesn't jamb your knuckles against something that will remove skin.... I also have a IR 231 impact gun and IR 105 1/4" ratchet both as old, with no problems on...

    they were only produced for a few years, then the model number would change...although they were all fairly similar with very few differences between them. many parts would be interchangeable between them.
