    80K Big Maxx in a 24x24 shop

Lowes will take it back if damaged and get me one that isn't damaged. Going back and forth with northern tool will be a hassle.

    80K Big Maxx in a 24x24 shop

Lowes has the 80K for the same price plus I'll get 15% off that and I can go pick it up. I'd rather not have it shipped as it won't get here in one piece. Anything that size that I've had delivered has been damaged to some extent. I might try seeing if lowes can order in the 50K unit. At least...

    80K Big Maxx in a 24x24 shop

Most places around here only sell 80K+ units and used ones are either junk or cost more than a new unit. Really annoying. I did find the 50K unit for $30 less, but it's out of stock and no in stock date available. At this point I feel like the 80K derated by 20% or 40% is my best bet.

    80K Big Maxx in a 24x24 shop

I need to get a new heater for my 24x24 workshop. It has 12ft walls plus an attic space. 2 windows, 1 regular door, 1 roll up door (insulated). Insulation in the walls is decent. I think it's fiberglass. Roof has foam board panels. Outside Winter temps run from 0*F to 32*F. I can get the 80K...

New (to me) workshop heating help

All the HVAC in the house was installed by a reputable HVAC company. It's just the workshop that was done by the previous homeowner. The only thing that wasn't inspected was that workshop furnace. I've gone over that report thuroughly. I figured I would have to fix up up and at worst, take it...

New (to me) workshop heating help

I think the vent run is less than 4 ft total. I'm guessing that doesn't make a difference... Kinda ***** to have to patch 2 holes and make 2 new ones.

New (to me) workshop heating help

Extension cord is a pretty heavy gauge, but wiring it directly is on my list. Supply line is to a 100lb propane tank. Dryer vent line will be replaced with PVC. I need to figure out the proper setup for the outgoing side to get that restriction.

New (to me) workshop heating help

That will be an easy fix at least. It's a very short run. Just up through the ceiling, then straight out the back.

New (to me) workshop heating help

Yes, it's a home furnace. Yes, the exhaust is corrugated dryer vent. The insulation on the shop is excellent. With the roll up door and man door closed the temperature stays pretty consistent. Turns out I have a neighbor that works in HVAC. I guess I'll have him check it out.

New (to me) workshop heating help

Just bought a new to us home and as a bonus, I got a 24x24 fully insulated workshop in the deal. Came with a ruud furnace mounted on it's side up near the ceiling. Open top and open bottom. I don't think there's a filter on the intake side so I need to deal with that. On the output side air can...
