Clouds have parted 145 degrees on the bottom of the roof and on the other side of the radiant its holding at 80 degrees. I didn't expect it to do this well but I am impressed!

No photos today but I am putting up radiant barrier and no its not insulation but the metal roof above is 114 degrees checked with a laser temp and on the underside its 83 degrees!! The more important part is that its waayyy more comfortable in here!!

Nothing wrong with a light switch if its done in a box with clamps and is rated for the load. The switch will eventually fail but they are cheap. Old tools often need creative repairs to get back to use full. Good luck with it and glad its not the motor!

mount cheap water hose reels on the wall, started doing this for my welder extension cord, and I like it alot, way less twisting, might not portable enough for smaller cords, but if you had one cord dedicated to be by the door of your shop I doubt you'd regret it much.

if I was your customer I'd probably be glad you did the lions share of the work and wire in a regular outlet 10 mins after you pulled out the driveway. if its a dedicated circuit, I dont see why it matters, but its a solution looking for a problem.

is your breaker box bad or are you wanting a bigger one? if its not bad, I would consider running a new box and wiring the current as a sub, if you as a homeowner want to move circuits to it one at a time later so be it, but if there is no need then I wouldnt bother. just a thought.
