    Sandblast Cabinet air venting.

I have a HF blast cabinet like these that I need to mod. But my dad has an old HF blast cabinet that came with the exhaust hose attachment on the back and the inlet on the left from the factory. So at one time they were doing it correctly. I like his cabinet better than the new ones. His has a...

4 post lift anyone!? Atlas or others?

Wire is wire, it don't care if you run 120 or 240 through it. The 30 amp wires in the ceiling could be put on a 120 breaker in the box.

toilet not flushing during heavy rain

I think you just found yor problem. Not enough drop and its plugging up. Use that toilet for #1 only and go inside to take a dump.

    Miller Cricket welder

One thing I'll suggest is checking the polarity of the gun and ground clamp. I can't remember what way you want it for each process but they are different for flux core wire and solid with gas. My first welder was a Clark 130 that I still have. The directions for it didn't say anything about...

Vertical lift mod - need different hinges

I think you need to take the angle out altogether. The straight part of the track goes up at a slight angle. Just continue it going straight up at the same angle. Raise your springs up high enough that the door will clear them. Then buy longer cables. You are also probably going to need...

Blowing in cellulose in the attic: Any brands to avoid??

Menards here is $10.85 a bag for the same stuff. And Home Depot is $8.68 a bag. I didn't think there would be that much difference from location to location.

    Help me place my lift

I know alot of people do this so what am I missing. You have a 12' door and a 9' door. You put the 12' door in front of the lift. Unless your looking at the 12k+ lifts most have just over a 9' drive through width.

    Power to new detached garage

How big is the conduit going to the junction box with the 6 gauge cable? Could you use the #6 to pull a bigger sized wire into the box? Since its only 10' would it be legal to pull a #4 copper into the junction box and change to the cheaper #2 aluminum for the rest if the run? I'm not a sparky...

Safety tips for running a vehicle on jackstands.

On my phone the video is pretty quiet. But it sounds like ring and pinion noise or maybe tire noise. Who put the gears in for you? What kind of experience do they have setting up rear ends?

4 post car lift issue- squealing

I can't tell from that pick but if thats a two way cylinder and they are only using one port on it and your getting fluid out of that plug you have an internal leak on your cylinder. Is it a plug or a filter? I wouldn't think you'd want it plugged off solid.

    New Perka 40' x 40'

I'm putting up a used York building. It is the same kind of building as a Perka. It was sitting on 12"x12" square footings before it was taken down. I don't know how deep they went. I just used a 18" auger and drilled down to below frost level at my new site. Right or wrong only time will tell...

    Stayalert's Geobarm in Vermont

How big is the "big fat camper van"? How wide and how tall(w/A/C on the roof) is one of these vans? Every time you use the van or want to use the lift you are going to have to drive the van through your lift. Most lifts have around a 8.5' drive through width unless you get to the really big ones.

    Hvlp gun straight up?

I've been out of the body shop for 8 years. I think it was 3m that had a system that used a plastic cup with a liner that you put the paint into. You then screwed it onto you paint gun. If you held your gun upside down and pulled the trigger it would pull all the air out and you could paint...

Clear coat for oil based paint

Have never used oil base clear before, but I'd go talk to a auto body paint suply store. They'll have a product called flatner. You add it to the clear, the more you add the flatter it gets. I just don't know if it would be compatible with oil based clear.

    40x40 post frame help!

Why put in a 12' door then limit your drive through to a little over 8' with a lift. I would think putting the lift in the 10' bay would be better. Then if you ever need to pull in a camper or trailer you'll have room in the 12x12 door.

Replacing section of truss roof with rafters while roof attached?

I am no engineer but to me that header is holding the same weight it was before the truss was cut out. All the trusses that were cut out were on top of that same header.

    Another feeder line question

I think that 2.16 was including the price of the extra conduit I would need. I was looking at some many numbers last night. So it looks like it'll be pretty close to the same price to go either way. I'm leaning towards going bigger because you never can have to much power but some day you might...

    Another feeder line question

It is a 208, 240, 480 single phase machine. Like I said it would be very rare if ever I'd be running it wide open. Most of my welding would be done at 150 amps or less. I like this machine because if I need to get it done it has the power to do it, but I can turn it down to just one amp and weld...

    Another feeder line question

I was looking at the xhhw by the time I buy 3 #1 and a #6 it's 2.16 a foot plus I'll need conduit from house to shop. I can buy 2/0 mhf for 1.95 a foot. I know I'll still need conduit inside the buildings but not between. If my panel will allow it I'm thinking of using a 125 amp breaker in the...
