What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Looks great! What are you using to apply the powder? Are you trying to put 'Cuda Chick out of business?

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Thanks for the excellent excellent and detailed comparison of the different storage box options - you are truly an expert! Agreed! I mostly ride dirt bikes and feel the same way when I compare Japanese bikes to KTMs. They're great but the KTMs just work (and look) a bit better. Cheers, Tyler

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Beautiful storage solution Jess! This is a constant struggle for me and you seem to have nailed it with style. I've checked out your build thread on multiple occasions and, even when I'm not sure why you're doing something, I'm always impressed by the quality, execution and pride in...

Finally getting my woodshop together ...

Hi, Just caught up with your awesome thread. Did you ever figure out a way to slice that cedar round into table tops? Either way, I have a buddy that's probably not far from you, he's on Thompson Rd, and has a portable sawmill. PM me for more info. All the best, Tyler

New 24'x24' Bungalow Woodshop/Autoshop in California

"Those welds tho..." 18 pages of awesomeness and now one negative nelly. I don't disagree but, I'm willing to give the guy a bye on this one. He's a PM, not a welder. Although I haven't seen the budget, he's managed this project expertly and did a really spectacular job with this build. Keep...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That's really cool. Never heard of those so I did a bit of googling. Apparently they sold those in kit form like you'd see in the back of Popular Mechanics. The belt drive system is interesting: what powers yours?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Cool, does that car really run 11:95? Also, I've been meaning to tell you, I read pretty much your whole shop build thread the other day. I'm impressed with your skills and resourcefulness. I told my wife I thought you had the Sandra Bullock of shops. It looks really good, but not so fancy...

Neglected century barn is becoming my workshop and garage

Congratulations on the new job! I stumbled across this thread a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down - I'm more than impressed. Since it appears you haven't posted since starting the new gig, your gain is definitely our loss. All the best, Tyler PS: I'm also an owner and fan...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT New 20 x 20 garage/shop in Seattle

Nope, we moved from NW to SW a couple of years ago. We outgrew our place and the commute was killing me. My office is down here and I fly a lot so it made sense to move to the 'burbs. I never thought I'd move out of the city but I have to say I'm loving it. Also, we upgraded our garage space...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT New 20 x 20 garage/shop in Seattle

Very nice build! I love your use of repurposed materials and CL finds to build something clean, stylish and functional. I'm not clear on your exact location but, we own a rental that we lived in for 16 years within about a mile of your place so I can really appreciate the challenges you faced...

Heavy Duty Welding/Layout Table Build, MK II

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand the need to tie the legs together and have a shelf but my point is, why not use the 4" directly under the table top and use the 2 1/2" on the bottom? Couldn't you then eliminate the vertical center supports and have a full, unobstructed shelf? Again...

Heavy Duty Welding/Layout Table Build, MK II

Awesome everything - Thanks for sharing! I understand why you don't want six legs but, why did you put the heavy 4" frame on the bottom? If it's rigid enough not to deflect from the weight of the plate, why not use it directly under the top and not need the vertical supports in the center? I...
