You HAVE to use them to get a finished look. Are you referring to the 2" wide edging for racedeck? In the scheme of things the cost is pretty insignificant and it looks far better at the garage entrance than tile edge. Just finished my install a couple weeks ago. Chris

For your welding area you could get the metal faced tiles that racedeck offers and they're compatible with regular racedeck, so you can designate a weld area and put the metal tiles down and the rest standard racedeck. It's called racedeck pro http://racedeck.com/pro.html Chris

Good ideas guys. I actually used to be a sheet metal worker and am still on friendly terms with my former employer, so I might go and get a piece of alum treadplate bent into a U to wrap around and mount a table top. Thanks again guys! Chris

HI guys, Here's a pic of my compressor, it's 45" high, anyone have ideas as to how/or what to do conceal it? I'm thinking a cabinet with the back cut out for ventilation cooling, but I'm really stuck. Ideally I could use the top of the cover as well. Any ideas?? Chris

Have you considered using a spray-in type application like Line-x, this gives good texture so not slippery and looks good. Chris
