Kahtoola Microspikes are great but only for a narrow set of conditions, at least for me. I wish there was something in between them and Yaktraxxs, which I have broken within a mile of winter hiking. Maybe I'll look into grinding them down.

Quick search suggests that stucco over Rockwool Comfort Board is possible. But there is also another mineral wool board product with various veneers, including stucco, I think. Link didn't copy. Look up Sto Therm CI.

I've never seen it much less worked with it, but Rockwool makes a mineral wool insulation board that has a high fire rating. No idea on what it weighs. My main concern with it would be sealing it with something to encapsulate the fibers so they do not become airborne. Not sure if it could be...

That's it. I have three slabs to sand this winter. No opinion yet. Also no opinion on the subject of this thread. I have a Bosch RO & DeWalt extractor which I run through Dust Deputy. I'd like better DC so hopefully the mesh pads will help. I do have the backing pad as well.

Mirka makes a mesh sanding pad. I do not recall the product name off hand. Have some samples in the shop I can check later.

You can run fairly long lumber through a jointer, planer & table saw in that length. But having all three setup across the 11' width & leaving room for both the "to be done" & "done" piles will be tough. It sounds like you don't have all those tools, however. Are you planning to mill your own...

More foam means shifting that dew point so it doesn't condense on the rigid foam & freeze in the cold. There used to be a good free article online called something like ratio of foam to fluffy insulation. If I remember I'll try to find a link for it later.

The only thing I can think of in OP's example is that the dew point lands somewhere in the fiberglass layer instead of the rigid foam layer. The interior vapor barrier would then be to limit vapor from condensing in the fiberglass later. Personally I would pay for more foam before building such...

I've used the same. I do recommend it over plumbing stuff, especially if you want to glue cut edge to cut edge. It worked better with the foamed interior of PVC trim. The thinner pipe solvents can cause the cellular interior to collapse slightly.
