    Starrett posters

I didn’t spend anything. It’s under “educational material” or something like that. Can’t remember exactly. I originally found out about it when Starrett made a tweet around Christmas time saying anyone could order it for free. It was all sold out at the time. A couple weeks ago I remembered it...

I need to pull the dreaded Honda crank bolt. Critique my plan.

Yeah I don’t have any air stuff. I’m a welder/fabricator by trade. So all auto impact stuff will be done only for personal use. However I do the work at my shop which is a full professional setup as far as compressors and stuff. Good point allowing me to clarify. Thanks for the replies...

    HF tool brand names

Eyes hurt with Miller welding helmet

Cool story, but I have the same exact hood which I’ve used everyday for 8 years. That is exactly what happens when the batteries get low. So it’s best to change them yearly as preventative maintenance.

Change the batteries. I know it’s brand new, but that’s exactly what happens when the batteries are low.

Snap On ratchet - socket is on TIGHT

What brand sockets? I have Snap On sockets and never noticed an issue. Just yesterday I had to borrow a spark plug socket. Kobalt brand. And it was noticeably tighter than anything I own. Edit- ratchet was a Snap On FL80

Speedglas 9100xxi, is it a good hood?

I also use a Miller DE. I’m a welder/fabricator. I worked with several guys with the Speedglass and they work very well. Never seen an issue. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up when my Miller does.

    Lubricant for Ratchet Inners?

Superlube is what Snap On uses. I’ve used moly grease in an old snap on 36 tooth 1/2” before and it worked fine.

Need a quality straight pneumatic die grinder rec.

I’m not dead set on front exhaust or any feature really. Just thought the Mac one I borrowed once was neat. So I appreciate the rec. Thanks. Will look into it more.
