    Floor grinding

Hey everyone - Was trying to find an existing thread to ask in rather than start my own. My 2car garage currently has the HD Rust-Oleum epoxy box kit on it that is garbage, and I want to get it up. Wife and I have hand-scraped about 10% thus far, but we're exhausted. I tried researching HD...

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

Or you could use the coupon out now for $429 each and save yourself the sanity. Is $30 worth giving up your holiday and dealing with BF idiocy?

    Garage Floor Epoxy Recommendation

Turns out the previous home owner used the Rust-Oleum **** from home Depot. Wife and I saw it on the shelf today when we went to buy a couple more gallons of epoxy stripper. Same epoxy and flake color, $70. Garbage.

    Garage Floor Epoxy Recommendation

OP, I'm in the same boat you are right now. Just bought house in June with 2car garage and I'm pretty sure the prior owner did a box store product because it didn't hold up very well in just the 2-3/4 years he owned the place. So I'm hand scraping it all off and gonna go with black base with...

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

I just spoke to Caroline at Casters & Equipment Co. She was an absolute sweetheart to speak with. She basically says that standard 4x4.5 plate frame are standard slotted drilling, which is what the HF casters have. So all 5x2 on 4x4.5 plates with slotted holes should work. I just don't...

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

I'm not sure. I have the new 44"x22" boxes. Could you measure your bolt pattern on the bottom of your box (not your caster plate) and then we could solve this today! If the 4x4.5 plate with a 2-5/8 x 3-5/8" pattern slotted to 3x3" works on the HF box, you've solved a very significant problem...

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

I sent you a PM, too. I'm confused because that listing description states the bolt pattern is 3"x3".....which doesn't match the HF box bolt pattern of 2-13/16" x 3-5/16".....??

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

Harbor Freight equipment and still b*tching about prices. They're the absolute cheapest brand new tool boxes on the market. Are you really that cheap? New boxes gain 4" in depth for the entire tool box. Thank God HF is listening to its whiny cheapskate consumers and putting them on sale for...

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

Thanks very much everyone! I find it ironic that Harbor Freight doesn't sell replacement swivel casters for their boxes. Went to HF, Home Depot and Lowe's yesterday and no dice. I'm going with all four swivel w/top brake and polyurethane wheels because my boxes need to pushed straight back into...

How deep of a toolbox is deep enough/too deep?

All great feedback, thanks people. I've not seen aa store in my area anywhere that sells 30" deep boxes, so I'm not able to even see one in person. For a professional mechanic, whose financial livelihood lives in a toolbox, I could see the investment of $5K/$6K+ for a box. But for me, in my...

    Possible US General 96" Toolbox????

Hardy-har-har-har. A good garage owner knows exactly where his extractor set is  Different strokes for different folks. I personally don't own a 4ft breaker bar or 38 sets of sockets. Will be perfect for the garage since I mostly have biking tools and misc power tools and accessories...

    Possible US General 96" Toolbox????

Made by Hyxion. Also, the bottom is 16g steel. I've been considering this very box for my garage nook and then building a 28-30" worktop over it. Thoughts?

How deep of a toolbox is deep enough/too deep?

I am having a terrible time trying to figure out the next tool box for my garage. My nook is 100" x 36".......it seems to be calling for the Tool Vault 84"x30" box with top hutch. But jesus I just cant justify five GRAND for something for my home garage.....

How deep of a toolbox is deep enough/too deep?

    I don't think a 36" deep cabinet exists.

How deep of a toolbox is deep enough/too deep?

OP - I'm in the same boat as you. I have my eyes and hopes set right now on the 84x30 Tool Vault box with top hutch. I have a recess in my garage that is 100x36, and was clearly designed to hold this very product :). But sheesh, $4995 is some sticker shock. Crossing my fingers for a Black...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I sure have my eyes on the new TV Elite 84" box vs my two 44" HF boxes. 30" deep vs. 18" deep? Yes please.

Harbor Freight 44" Toolbox Caster Failure and Repair

Happened to comes across this thread tonight as I would like to replace the stationary casters on my 44" boxes with swivel casters so that all four corners can rotate 360. General research of various sites and inquiries with HF have been unsuccessful thus far, but buying them independently...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

On a somewhat related note, does anyone know if I can order any of the swivel casters for the 44" box somewhere other than HF? Are they available separately?
