Which PB L Keys for general use? Long, Short, Ball, No Ball....

I have a set of those in the black finish I bought for a job where nothing else would fit. Served their purpose, though I have not used them since.

Which PB L Keys for general use? Long, Short, Ball, No Ball....

Single ball end is what I use the most, though I mostly find myself using bondhus t handles unless space is limited. I have single ball end, non ball end, socket hex keys, 1/4 bits for bit drivers and the t handles are hard to beat.

    E torx spanners

Ahh, just what I am looking for. They are available here. I might just pick them up. It includes the E16. Thank you.

    E torx spanners

I might be ok without them in that case. Sockets are probably easier to use anyway, as a spanner would be more awkward to position on the bolt given the shape of the head. Anyone else any suggestions?

    E torx spanners

I have a set of the koken sockets, and some Stahlwille 1/4 drive sockets in etorx, which seems to do well. Interesting, I have never actually tried putting a normal spanner on them. Did you come across an E16 while doing the rebuild job?

    E torx spanners

I am searching for a set of e torx spanners in the UK. Does anyone have any recommendations? They won’t be used that frequently so I don't see any point dropping big money on them unless it actually makes a huge difference in the quality. Every set I seem to find misses an E16, which is...

    Gedore or Stahlwille Spanner’s? No.7 and 1b or 13 and 14 series

Thanks for all the input guys. So I went ahead and ordered the Stahlwille 13 as it is shorter, and ordered the 14 also for the offset box end to see how I like it. I didn’t really need the 14 Series to be truthful, but it will be interesting to see how they compare to the 600n which I really...

    Gedore or Stahlwille Spanner’s? No.7 and 1b or 13 and 14 series

What do you mean by springy jaws on the Stahlwille? I did look at the 603 series, but the smaller sizes bring 6 point put me off, otherwise I would go for them.

    Gedore or Stahlwille Spanner’s? No.7 and 1b or 13 and 14 series

I got a set of Hazet 600n spanner’s a year or so back, at the time I was also considering the Stahlwille 14 series. The time has come to buy these, but now I see that Gedore offer similar at a similar price. I was going to pick up the 14 series and 13 series Stahlwille on Amazon de. Does...

    Multimeter Help - 87V or 117

Thanks for all the replies guys. After taking them all into consideration, I think I will just stick with my Klein meter. The only thing the Fluke 117 has that I could see being useful is the LoZ feature, other than that, my Klein seems to do what I need it to do so far.

    Multimeter Help - 87V or 117

Need vs want haha The 117 does True RMS. Feature wise, the 87v does m amps, the 117 doesn’t, but it does have LoZ which would be useful. I actually think my Klein meter does m amps!

    Multimeter Help - 87V or 117

Thanks for the replies. I get what you mean. I kind of want a fluke meter, well, just because it’s a fluke and I enjoy using good tools. My Klein MM400 does it’s job so far, I might just save the coin, and buy better leads and some crocodile clips. Those would have come in handy a number of...

    Multimeter Help - 87V or 117

Hey all, I am looking to upgrade my DMM which is currently a Klein MM400. I was initially looking at the Fluke 117, though after some research, the 87V seems to be quite popular. My question is, which am I better off going for? I won’t be using it professionally, though I would like to try...

After 2 weeks of research. I need help.

UK here. I went with Milwaukee 18v for battery gear. I have an impact wrench, impact driver and combo drill. For other things, such as circular saw, jig saw, I just get corded, and go for what’s a good deal. Mikita, Bosch… I have found them all to be fine.

    Smallest/Largest Bolt/Nut Automotive?

7mm for jubilee clips, and used an 8mm for the bolts that hold on the EGR valve on my berlingo van. I think the biggest I have needed is a 42mm for axle nuts on the back.

Anyone ever put a stronger magnet in a SO ratcheting screwdriver?

I completely forgot to check this after I posted it. Yes, both using the same bit. PB is noticeably stronger. I might at some stage try and hoke out the magnet and replace it, though for now, considering it’s only 6 months old, I will let it be.

Torx Screwdrivers - PB Swiss or Snap On

It seems like you have a few places to buy. I only have Caufield and Only Quality Tools here in the UK. There’s not as big of a selection as you have in Europe, but I have all the span bits I want. I have the black striking cap drivers, they are really nice, though for general use, I prefer...

Torx Screwdrivers - PB Swiss or Snap On

Where are you ordering from? I got the multicraft from Caufield Industrial in Ireland. Only Quality Tools don’t stock multicraft, I spoke to Mark about it on the phone and he said they are not popular. I don’t see why though.

Torx Screwdrivers - PB Swiss or Snap On

Same here, different drivers for different jobs. I try and keep soft grip drivers for cleaner work, the reason I bought them. Last year, I bought my first PB, the swissgrip. I was using them on the lawnmower, then a while later, I was changing all the light switches in the house, and noticed...
