    Cable tie pliers

I found a pair of cable tie pliers at goodwill today, they felt good and Made in the USA. Picked up for $4.00. I did a google search and found these at the $200.00 range? Anyone know of these? http://www.alliedelec.com/thomas-betts-wt193a/70039940/...

So toolbox with cheap tools, or cheap toolbox with high end tools?

I can't say I agree with this, I can organize my tools just as well in a HF box or home made wooden box vs a truck brand box. Just the same I could be just as disorganized in a truck box. That's all on the person them self. A tool box by no means makes me faster, being proficient in my job and...

    Picker "go-bag" kit

I have learned a bit going to pick-and-pull's so here is my 2 cents; 1)Gloves 2)Something on the lines of the Knipex 8" bolt cutters or good wire cutters 3)Cresent wrecnch or the Knipex pliers wrench 4)Small set of ratcheting wrenches 3/8-3/4 should be ok 5)3/8 ratchet and a universal socket...

Careers besides being an auto mechanic . I'm losing interest

The amount of knowledge, know how and physical work vs compensation is pretty crazy. I went from being a 3 year Diesel Tech. (no schooling) providing my own tools making $18.98 hr to very....VERY basic mechanical work (almost needing no skill) with a pharmaceutical company inspecting and...

Careers besides being an auto mechanic . I'm losing interest

I understand the OP, also having a good deal of your tools at work kind of ***** too. I decided to go into the high tech manufacturing, still get to play with tools, but not as much as a tech so I don't get burnt out on it. From my experience the industry is way more stable and there is a lot...

    Least favorite shop task?

Yeah I'm not fond of cleaning my garage either, funny though when I had my tools at work I was OCD about keeping clean, I guess getting paid for the last hour of work to clean makes a little difference.

    Air Compressor Throwing Breaker

By any chance are you using an extension cord to it? I had the same problem, removed the extension cord=problem fixed! If so, I'd try this first before anything invasive

    Aircompressor tripping breaker

I had a similar issue but mine also had the electric motor "bogging down." What resolved it was not using an extension cord. I don't know if that's what you did in this case, but it's worth a shot if so.

    one motor multiple power tools

I'm thinking 3 tools MAX most of which will have (if I'm not mistaken) correct size pulley on it's current motor (which would go on the clutch shaft) and on the tool it's self. As long as I have all tools that run at similar HP motor, all I have to engineer is the clutch shaft and how belts...
