Had the same question? I used to use my lift to remove the top on my K5 and I would store it raised all summer. But that meant my lift was out of service all summer. Then I rigged up a hoist with some pulleys, rope, Unistrut, and a $100 electric winch from HF.

If I am following you...you're posts are out of square, but you're not sure if the cement pad is square? That would have been step 1...measure diagonals of your pad. If square = proceed with installing posts. If not = layout posts on the pad so they are square. Sounds like you're well...

I had to cut my floor and pour new pads....the pad was thick enough but I had some cracks and some settling underneath and ended up with a void. Used a hand held saw...definitely a dirty job that I would not want to have to do again.
