I picked this box up cheap at an estate sale. I left the bottom because it was rough, but I may go back in a couple days and try to save it if the price is right.

Picked up a 1975 Craftsman Commerical 1/2 HP grinder (Model 397.19440) today for $40. It runs smooth and shuts down the same. This thing has some POWER. I'm going to clean it up this weekend. I'm really tempted to pick up a 3/4 HP near me now.

I'm replacing this thing with a craftsman block grinder. It bogs down with medium pressure. I don't know much about it. I paid $15 at an estate sale. It doesn't have any tags or other marks. It has 8 inch wheels. Can anyone ID it?

Both are used. The attached picture is the 1/2. The 3/4 was listed on craigslist awhile ago and the ad is gone now, but he's sending me a picture tomorrow. I got him down to $80.

I had a feeling the answer would be both. Is $90 a good price on the 3/4?

I've found a 1/2 and 3/4 craftsman commercial grinders near me. They both have tool rests, eye shields, and both end caps. The 1/2 has a light and the 3/4 has a quencher. The 1/2 is $40 and the 3/4 is $90. Which should I get?
