Slotting cutter vs straight router bit

If all you are doing is cutting a slot I'd just use a table saw. That's the way Norm always did it. Make one pass, flip the stock end for end and make another pass. Your slot is automaticly centered. But if you are set on using a router I'd go with the slot cutter. It cleans the grove out much...

    The New SK Tools...

Did you ask about where they plan on selling tools or how they plan on distributing them?

What would you pay? any interest SO box?

Well $20 isn't bad; but shipping would probably make it prohibitive. I'm in Missouri. Would want to see more pictures of it first with all the stuff emptied out, and of the drawers.

    Rigid 18v Tools

I guess I should have stated that the town I live in only has 1 Home Depot. I really was stunned the other day when I went in there and they didn't have any of the 18v lithium batteries in stock. I had to order one will take a week. As far as the tools go, I have a drill and a impact, they have...

    Rigid 18v Tools

Next time I buy a drill or something along those lines it will not be a store brand. I don't want to be tied to just one place for service or batteries. I went by HD the other day to get another 18v compact lithiom ion batter for my Ridgid drill and they didn't even have any. They did have a lot...

building a sliding shelf inside a toolbox drawer?

For stainless that doesn't sound bad at all. What I would want is one half as deep as the drawer it is going in so you could still have stuff under it.

building a sliding shelf inside a toolbox drawer?

Johnny, how much did you have to spend to get those built? They look nice. I'm looking for something similar. A quick search of SO's web site found this http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=storage&Group_ID=3240&store=snapon-store

    Rigid 18v Tools

I have two of the 18v compact lithium batteries. Have a drill and a impact. One battery didn't last 2 months; wont take a charge. The other one charges but doesn't have much power and doesn't last as long as it should. Both are about a year and a half old. I didn't register them when I got them...

Any Updates on the Craftsman Premium Ratchets?

Ok I bought a 3/8 been using it some. Still not sure it is all that. It sure seems a lot looser than I expected. If you grab the part the socket goes on it has a lot of play, both in and out and up and down. Haven't had any problems with it skipping or jamming. Still it just doesn't seem to be...

    Security Hex Driver

Funny you linked that driver. Guy I work with just bought one like that. The bits are double ended, but the working part of the bit is no longer than other bits.

    Security Hex Driver

I checked the Wiha site and didn't see anything. I have a L key, that is what I use; would just like something better like a T handle. Bits won't work as the screw hole is recessed and I can't get bit driver to fit in the hole to get to the screw. Unless I could find some longer bits.

    Security Hex Driver

Hello. I'm looking for a allen driver with a hole in it for security screws. I have bits, but some stuff I work on the screws are recessed and the hole is to small to get a bit driver to fit in. What I would like is a T handle or screw driver handle allen with the hole for the security pin...

Using My New Craftsman Premium Ratchet

I got a 3/8 drive one the other day at a larger store in St Louis. I had to pull the sears web site up on my phone and show them to the sales guy to ask if they had them. He still tried to direct me to the full polish ratchets. I told him not those, these are new. He finally said "oh yea, I...

    Craftsman Premium Grade Ratchets

I'm guessing these will be available at other places that sell Craftsman??? My local Ace Hardware is selling Craftsman now, I'd rather buy from them than Sears. And I do plan on picking up the 3/8 one.
