    Carlyle Locking Flex Head Question

Hopefully they're tougher than the last version, I busted my pawl on mine without even really given her the beans. Took almost a year for my local Napa to get me a rebuild kit in.

    Spray foam regrets?

I got quoted for 1" of close cell, and then they put R19 batts over it. 1" came out to more like 3" which is fine with me. I love it, shops tighter than a gnats ***

    Spray foam... barndominum

My understanding was the reason is because it can trap moisture, rusting the steel from the back side. When my shop was spray foamed, #1 I had the shop house wrapped before sided, that way the warranty is not voided and if I ever wanted to change a panel I could with ease. #2 my spray foam...

Latest arbor press score defying the odds

We had one identical at the last place I worked, slick unit. Make sure you keep enough tension on the Arbor that it won't drop on its own. Guy I worked with who had been using that press for 30 years was lining a bearing up with his left hand and the Arbor was all the way up. Down came the Arbor...

    Real or fake? Matco

Actually I have a simalar matco box. identical paint, badges and series. A lot of guys say these were the last of the heavy duty matco boxes built. Thicker gauge steel and better slides. Mine was built in 98 or 99 I beleive, bought it from the original owner who was a body man. I'd say this box...

Isn't this the ratchet that a member on here designed and then his design got ripped off by a Chinese group? Just saw a thread about it a couple months back.

    Shop Mop

I like this, but I'd destroy it in no time. I often am soaking up large oil/coolant puddles thatre a few square foot, I'm messy.

    Shop Mop

I use this mop in place of oil dry, works great as oil dry is a pain in the *** and usually goes everywhere and it's one more thing to buy. I buy 5 gals of purple power for $24 bucks that I keep in a pump sprayer. I hose down the oil quick with the pp, fill my mini sink with enough water to...

    Shop Mop

What're you guys using? I have a full sized string mop with roll around bucket, but I only like to use that for big jobs like doing the entire floor as it takes to much time to fill it, wash the mop out, spray the bucket etc. To spot mop oil spills, dog accidents I've been using one of the...

Best way to get hot water for personal use from already closed loop radiant floor setup?

Yes I think you're right, better off with something new huh. Pressure washer says 2.5gpm, it's not a must have but man I hooked my pressure washer up to my tankless heater one time and it stripped off 90 percent of the bug guts and brake dust off in one pass. I was amazed.

Best way to get hot water for personal use from already closed loop radiant floor setup?

I've thought about these, I'm assuming winter time my water will be 45-50 degrees inlet temp, the specs on that say 60 degree rise in temp the heater will only flow 1gpm. So 100-110 degree water at 1gpm,not gonna cut it.

Best way to get hot water for personal use from already closed loop radiant floor setup?

Yeah I think you're right, option 3 is probably the way to go. Biggest thing is I like having the ability to power wash cars with hot water, it really makes a differance. 10 gallons would go quick but I can't have it all I suppose.

Best way to get hot water for personal use from already closed loop radiant floor setup?

That's why I was saying heat exchanger in the primary loop. The system still stays closed loop, hot water from the heater/radiant floor water through one side and faucet water through the other.

Best way to get hot water for personal use from already closed loop radiant floor setup?

Below is my radiant floor heat panel I built, it's been running strong and flawlessly for 3 seasons now. It's a closed loop, primary/secondary setup utilizing a 110k takagi condensing unit. I would really like to be able to use this same hot water heater for my sink and washing the dogs. The...
