1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

I had the same problem with low amperage output on my older Lincoln tig250. Replacing the control board fixed it. Still working fine twenty years later. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Got to love the automatic transmission option but still had a manual choke. Don’t change anything. Great find!

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

Nice score! Love those flat top autolite 4 barrels too. My 66 had one on it when I got it. Didn’t have any signs that it didn’t come from the factory with it, but I never knew for sure if a 4V was available on those trucks.

    A warning to welders/auto guys

Thanks for posting this. I had exposure to this about 15 years ago while doing some sanitary welding for a dairy plant where I was employed. Topics like this are very valuable to this community. Hopefully we reflect on these experiences of others and think about potential hazards before...

??'s about Acetal Plastic Machining (Delrin)

I have machined many parts from Acetal. It is one of the easiest materials to cut and is very stable. You will have no trouble tapping. The only thing I would warn you about is if it will be used outdoors or will be exposed to much UV light, the white or natural will deteriorate fairly soon but...

Nomination for "BEST Automotive Maintenance Feature Ever"

Our 2003 Ford Escape 3.0 v6 has a drain plug in the auto trans. It drains exactly 1 gallon of atf. There is no filter to change. It's so easy, I drain and add 1 fresh gallon every oil change. Trans still works like new after 14 years. Also fuel pump is easily replaced by lifting the rear seat...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Scooter Workshop

When you create something that is different from other things that have been done before, it could be a form of art. An artist will typically just identify something that simply has to be done to satisfy some internal instinct. You are an artist Jess. Thanks for all you share with us.

Great plan! Maybe get the scooter going and bring it with you for the really special back roads. It would sure look good in the back of those trucks.

Fuel pump? Or this may be a long shot but... try a different ignition key in case the internal chip is bad?

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

You probably already know the front track width on the stock 65-72 F-100 is wider by 3-4 inches than the rear. Are you having tire clearance problems in the front? If not I still think narrowing the rear end is still the easier way to go. It may even be possible to use the short axle on the long...
