    Polishing sockets

Are you serious about cleaning sockets or just pumping up your post count? If mine get too cruddy I throw metallurgic caution to the wind and blast them with brake cleaner. You sound like the poster who doesn't know what to lube his ratchets with. However I think that you ought to keep your...

    Recommendations for a bench grinder

We bought an 8 inch Ryobi 3 weeks ago and it lasted a week. It sits there and hums until you give the wheel a head start turning. I cant recommend that brand. The few bench grinders that I have bought new always came with 2 stones. You probably have to get a wire wheels separately.

Just picked up KR1000/1100, drawer liner question

:headscratFor me putting in drawer liners and cutting to fit is a pain in the ***. Afterward the liners slip forward and backward and get oily. Thinking out loud here would the spray in bed liner material work?

    Alemite Pneumatic Grease Dispenser

Those air grease pumps usually have a disc inside with a rubber lined hole in the center for the pickup tube to go through. Disc also has lip seal around its outside diameter. It fits snuggly against the inside surface of the barrel. The disc puts downward force on the grease sort of to keep it...

    DIY motor oil capture

Truth be known the rack was in a closed back storage room. The oil we got out of it was nearly 100% premium oil. This was when there was various levels of motor oil from the same refiner. We had Atlantic Imperial @ .80 a quart & 2 lesser grades. The unused drain oil was a good deal for the guy...

    DIY motor oil capture

When I was a kid in my fathers garage he had an old fan belt rack to place the cans on. Below the rack was an angled trough that fed into a barrel. We sold the oil at the pumps for less than the regular price in those old time glass bottles in the wire rack.

    Roloc Bristle Discs

I've had no problems with roloc discs. However if you are worried about taking off metal you can use a braided steel wire rotary brush attached to a die grinder. They are great on carbon buildup on heads and they don't scratch the head surface. The vertical version not the horizontal brush.

Does anyone else make this adapter?

They are pretty common. Mine is a Cornwell brand and like the one in the pic it is for impact use. I'd rather have am impact for the the added durability.

    Best lube for ratchets????

My ratchets are used to and will only work when lubed with a special blend that I get from a company in South America. Its based on the feces of the purple *** baboon. They collect the droppings after the baboons eat a certain rare fruit indigenous to the Amazon Rain Forest. I have one snapon...

Gas leaf blower to clean out garage?

Leaf blowers make short work of it but if your garage is anything like mine I wouldn't do it. If you have mice getting in your going to kick up mice poop dust and that's a health hazard.

Ok, honest question: How is SnapOn Ratchet any better than C-man or HF caliber?

Craftsman ratchets feel like a cave mans club in my hand as do their other wrenches. Snapon handles like a well balanced saber. I wont even comment on the HF and other Chicom ****.

    SO Prybars

In the scheme of things does it matter what color the handle is? As a professional mechanic my only concern is do I have a pry bar and can I reach it.
