Tools that you wish weren’t discontinued

Mine is the Skil 3100-12 X-Bench. I bought one in 2005 just for a cheap mobile work bench in my shop. Has lots of functionality and accessories. Folds up if you need space. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010ODQ1U/?tag=atomicindus08-20 I still use it almost every day. If I could find them again I...

    Daily new pegboard solutions

Thanks for the explanation. I started using spray adhesive last year for a template I was cutting. Now I seen to find 100s of uses for the stuff to temporarily hold things, LOL

    Daily new pegboard solutions

These are cool ideas! I can't say I have used the Elmers glue ever in my garage, I am curious what you use it for? But your angled marker/mechanical pencil idea is a great idea. I could see the same idea using a small Super Glue (oval shaped base) or even the small Titebond wood glue bottle size?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

    Security cameras

Why would you have to plug a USB into your router? You can watch the videos live on your cell phone, Ipad, or PC. And you have 10 GB free on their Cloud, and the videos stay for ten days. Gives you ample time to send them to Dropbox or PC/Ipad, or cellphone. I have a NAS setup, but have not even...

What is behind my wood paneling?

Reminds me of a story: In my youth my Dad use to use a razor strap when he had to punish me and my my four older sisters. He would double it up so when hit hit our butts, it would make that really loud snap with hardly no sting. If you knew my dad, he would never hit us to hurt, but we did not...

    Cannon Gun Safes From Costco

I forgot to add the most important thing to remember when buying a gun safe. The "advertised" storage amount is just that, divide that number by 50% and you will have an accurate storage amount for most rifle or shotguns. If you own 12 guns, get a 24 gun safe at the minimum.

    Cannon Gun Safes From Costco

The Costco Cannon safe will do just fine, as long as you understand a safe is a deterrent not an end all means to stop a "professional" thief. I have had sentry 24 gun and a Cannon 48 gun safe for years. Both do the job perfectly fine. Both have a decent fire rating. I am more worried about...

Show us your DIY work benches, cabinets, and tables..

Sorry for the mess, I have too many on going projects. Mine is mostly “built as needed”, the bench is 13’ L x 28” W, with a 4’x4’ kick out on the right side. It is 2x4 framed plywood with a screwed on hardboard top, so if damaged; can be replaced in minutes. Radial Arm Saw is in a recess so the...
