Thinner clothing like Under Armour helps a lot. It doesn't look like much but it allows full range of movement and keeps a lot of heat in. Plus we try to do as little outside as possible!

We had them at work on a pivot under the welding table. Swing it up when you needed it and pin it in place. Un pin it and let it hang underneath when it was in the way.
