Some thrift store finds. Pony C clamp. No name pipe wrench. And these sockets. No markings other than size 9/32 thru 5/8. Never seen hex drive sockets before. Any ideas?

Nice find on that Kennedy machinist box! Picked up these tho other day. Had to look up the SO part number to realize it was a battery terminal puller. Never used one before, but will definitely from now on. The pitman arm puller is a Bonney.

Went to a used tool store that was unfortunately going out of business. Picked these up for $25 S-K 3/8 drive sockets in the front. Craftsman 3/8 drive and one 1/2 in rear A stud finder made by Irwin, Stanley T bevel and Vlchek chisel. And a nice pipe clamp. No marking other than Made in USA.

    9" Grinder comparison

Just go for the lightest one. Using a 9" grinder for more than 5 min is a measure of strength. Will you chamfer these beams on a saw horse or in position? BTW I primarily use a DeWalt 9"

    Propane torch accessories

Nice! I was just using a weed burner today to melt some of this snow off some 1" plate. Plate was so cold that it took a while to fully melt the ice off.

    Pay it Forward Thread

Yeah I guess I missed that one posting at a time thing. But if only a recipient can post the next item, and the aim is helping out those just building/upgrading their tools, wpuldnt the items offered up get progressively worse in quality and eventually stop?

    Pay it Forward Thread

Hmm.. I thought I was reading the "Rules" on the official PIF thread. Didn't see anything about min post count of 250 to participate. I posted something up already. Guess I'm beat. Or I could go on a "cool" comment rampage. :rocker:

    Pay it Forward Thread

Yeah this method is kind of flawed, only in the fact that someone could just cruise this thread and score deals for the cost of shipping. I could make a business out of this if I didn't have a job. Maybe a Trade Only thread would be best. A trader could post what they have and assign monetary...

Actually got this for free the other day. Was just rotting away in a barn.. Snap On CJ86-1 Started cleaning up the one set of jaws, mostly just dirt and light rust. Missing some hardware but that's easily replaced.

    110V Mig Welder Question?

Pretty much any 110 machine you use you're just gonna glob it on and grind it smooth. Definitely get a gas machine though. For thicker stuff I prefer to run dual shield FCAW, less spatter than MIG.

    made in usa welding hood.

Fibremetal Pipeliner hood is made in the USA. I love mine. Not a flip front but they make aftermarket kits that you can install to make it one. Though I hear it messes up the balance of the hood. Also, ditch the headgear it comes with install some Jackson 370 headgear. Helps the hood stay up...

Picked these up at the local thrift store for $15. 3/4 thru 1" SnapOn combo. Also came with a US made Craftsman 15/16 combo. Anyone know a good way to remove some of the surface rust without scuffing up the chrome? I guess I could take scotchbrite to it then re-polish.
