The 290 looks like a good saw. I'll only be using it for storm clean up(several times a year),yard maintenance and occasional small amounts of clearing. Also looking at a MS391 but it might be overkill and the MS250 but that might not be big enough.

Thawing out from our big for this area snow and ice storm. Running on generator for the last two days. I've got tons of trees and branches down. My little McCulloch might be out matched this time. Will have lots of clean up here soon. What kind of saws do you guys have? Any input is appreciated.

I put mine in the middle bay about 14' from the garage door. This gives me plenty of room to leave vehicles racked and shut the door, also can drive thru the hoist towards the back of the shop. The only thing I don't like is the garage door needs to be shut if I lift a vehicle all the way up.

I think they are a brilliant idea and would like to have one just don't have enough chargers to justify it. I keep my chargers on top of my box and close them up in the hutch at night. Sorry I don't know if anyone who have put purchased one yet. Go for it you know it'll last forever.

Thanks for all the replies. I have eliminated the sensors, rpm sensor and logic board all three components work fine when swapped to the Chamberlain. I'm gonna call Chamberlain tomorrow and see if they can point me in the right direction.

The light above the program button? The openers are identical except one is chain and one is belt, so I swapped the logic board and the RPM sensor both items work just fine on the Chamberlain. I have to be missing something totally stupid. Could the motor capacitor cause a concern like this.

Fail Pittsburgh two piece strap wrench set. The larger one failed on it's first use of holding a crankshaft dampener while torquing the bolt( which is the reason I bought them in the first place). They have lifetime warranty but I will probably just return them.

I was taught to never put anti-seize on wheel studs. A drop or two of engine oil on the threads prior to installing the lugnut is what I was taught and I believe what the Ford workshop manual recommends. Frequent rotations every 5000 miles should not allow to much buildup of rust.

Yeah that's what I would do( wasn't an option when I bought so many years ago). Especially if it comes with a vacuum filling tool. Can't believe what I did before they made those vacuum fillers.

Dime That astro kit is nice. I purchased the Snap On kit about 17 years ago and have used weekly with zero problems. The adapters are metal in my kit but I don't imagine the plastic adapters would cause any problems and they won't rust.

ASE is in it for the money that you give them every few years. I am certified A1 thru A8 and let my L1 expire. Ford no longer requires them as part of being master certified.

It appears to be a cabinet for a large puller set similar to the one that Snap-On sells. Maybe put some shelves in it and display some diecast cars or maybe some vintage hand tools.
