    Husky 40" 10 drawer tool cabinet/chest

I didn't notice the 50lb rating! I'm afraid that will be a deal-breaker for me since some of the drawers will have big pipe wrenches, hammer and mallets, among other heavy tools that would add up to more than 50lbs pretty easily, as you said, especially with how wide the drawers are, which was...

    Husky 40" 10 drawer tool cabinet/chest

Do you know what the overall difference of cubic inches of storage capacity is between the HF and the Husky? To get the Husky at literally half the cost is VERY tempting. By the way, my use will be for home garage general DIY work...automotive, WW'ing, electrical, plumbing, etc. I have a lot of...

    Husky 40" 10 drawer tool cabinet/chest

Saw this tool box in the local home depot last night, but it was in the box, not assembled on display, so I could not get a feel for the qality of the drawers and slides. Here is a link to the box, which is $298 right now...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

Where do you guys get these digital coupons from? I get them in the paper every week, but it is always for the same few items that I have a bunch of already.

    Kobalt 3/8 Flex head ratchet

I picked up the ratched last week and got to use it over the weekend, but before I did I opened it up and packed it with white lithium grease and it is so smooth and quiet, you can barely hear the ratcheting! I'm glad I bought it.

Lowes - With Exchange, Free 7 1/4" Irwin Circular Saw Blade

Thanks for the heads up, I just called my local Lowes to make sure it was going on there and they said it was. I have 3 blades that I'll be taking in :-)

Big Husky box at HD for $299

How does the Husky 41" (for $298 regular price) compare to the Harbor Freight 44" box? $298 for the upper and lower cabinet seems like a good deal for the Husky, but I wish the majority of the middle drawers weren't as deep.

    Show your new tool arrivals

I've heard in the past that between the blue set and the yellow set of nylon pry bars at harbor freight, one is better than the other, and one snaps more easily than the other. Is the yellow set the better one?

what to do with $500 on amazon...

So true. I use my crosscut sled on my Ridgid table saw for every crosscut that will fit on it. My sled is the size of the table top itself. A true joy to use, and I get out the circ saw as little as possible. BUT, as SunnyBeach said, treat it with respect. Learn how to use it properly and learn...

    Starter set of pliers

Agreed, and I would also recommend getting a pair of Channellock "linesman" pliers, which are my personal favorite plier.

Chad & Heavy Metal Doctor: thanks for the info. Is the main purpose of tap sockets for fitting in low clearance areas?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a tap socket? I have never heard of or seen these before, so I need to know what it is before I go buy it :-)

Interesting experience buying the HF 44" and matching top...

Good job doing the right thing! Most people would not, sad to say. I wish more people would think about how they feel when they are stolen from, and then re-think the idea of stealing from others.

Looks black powder realted to me

This board has already cost me a fair amount...

The main reason I skim through this forum regularly is to find out about tools that are out there that I don't know about, but then discover that they can make a job easier...and also to find out about tools that I knew where out there, but never realized it could benefit me until I hear someone...
