    Thank You. I think I would feel better with the extra strength of the joists as you mention. Did you double up the joists or just run a single 2x6 across?

    I assume that you're talking about something like this... I would also never hang anything from this ceiling.

    Excellent point. My concern is whether or not the weight of the metal (I understand that it's fairly light) plus the weight of the blown in insulation might be too much. I will never walk in that area once it's closed in.
