Best way to dispose of 55 gallons of waste oil

I have to think someone will want it. If I was closer, I would take it. My brother has a used oil heater in his shop. He used to run his own small trucking company and as a result had plenty of oil, but he's not doing that any longer.

I started changing my own oil...

I went through a phase of running different oils, filters, running filters for multiple oil changes etc. etc. and getting the oil tested. For my vehicles, I try to avoid going more than 10K on an oil change. As a rule I change my oil and filter at the same time, but if necessary I wouldn't...

    Nitrile Rubber Gloves

My local HF actually had a sign on the shelf indicating that the price increase was due to pandemic demand and that prices would return to normal when this is all over.

    I'm Done With Harbor Freight

I have the Kombi 130R and, in addition to several other attachments, the pole saw attachment. It works great. I've cut down a few of my neighbors' trees because the damn thing is so much fun to use. I'm not sure what Stihl was thinking when they designed that thing and I'm pretty sure that's...

    Nitrile Rubber Gloves

I stopped by my local Harbor Freight today and they had several boxes of 7 mil gloves on the shelf, but that was it. There were no 9 mil gloves out, or any other thickness for that matter.

    Nitrile Rubber Gloves

Any idea what mil these gloves are? I got a box of 50 9 mil gloves at Harbor Freight years ago that I've liked pretty well, but I'm down to my last couple pair and need to restock. I'm not sure if the Harbor Freight gloves are still available, but per bczygan's experience perhaps they are.

Horrific new slab pour, PROPER corrective action advise needed!

It's been seven days. SEVEN DAYS. I'm assuming the floor was fixed and the shop was built.

Assuming he isn’t ******* & gagged in your basement, or even if he is, what is the contractor saying?

Should I drill into my brand new work bench? Uncle gave me a vise

I'm not the OP, but I bought my bench many years ago when the "hardwood" tops were still maple. I believe the tops are now birch. I assume maple is a bit harder, but I really have no idea. One of the flat washers on the bottom of my bench dug in a bit, but it's on the bolt where I didn't get...

Should I drill into my brand new work bench? Uncle gave me a vise

I appreciate all of the input. I finally manned up and mounted my vise. I don't even want to admit how many years it's just been sitting on my bench. Did I just say years? Right now it's only mounted with two bolts, which may be plenty for my needs. I'm not certain that either of the holes...

Does anyone know of a website or store that sells Nitrile gloves at $7.99 per box?

Has anyone actually seen 9 mil gloves in Harbor Freight recently? I bought a box of 50 several years ago and I believe they are/were Western Safety brand. For my purposes, a box of 50 lasts a long time, but I'm starting to run low and I cannot find any 9 mil gloves on their website. I guess I...

    6-Pack Scott Shop Towels - $5.97 @ Walmart

I used the brickseek link on Tuesday and found a store within reasonable distance that was selling at $5.97. I bought six packs. I wrote a long winded post about my pickup experience, but it was lost whenever the site crashed. In a nutshell, it seemed that Wal-Mart cared not whether I was...

    Garden Hose Recommendation

I had wondered about that. I was looking for Gatorback serpentine belts within the last six or so months and everything kept coming back Continental. I could never find the exact belt I was looking for and eventually settled for a lower tier Continental. I have four of the black 3/4” Goodyear...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

It's hard to say, but a fairly safe answer would probably be not very often, maybe never etc. On the other hand, once you get something set up where you can actually start using it you never know what might happen. I hadn't even really considered it until just now, but I bet I could mount it...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

If any of the vise gurus would be interested in commenting on this, I would appreciate it. I've gotten a few takes, but wouldn't mind having a few more before I slam a beer and spring into action.

    The Ryobi Tool Appreciation/Review Permathread!

Thanks for the insight. I have a few things, very few actually, that I need to grind down, and I could probably use a file, but I also live on a private cul-de-sac and we're contemplating how we are going to address some cracks in the asphalt without paying through the nose for a professional...

Home Depot RYOBI Days Sale: 2 Batteries + Free Tool for $99

That is very interesting and thanks for the insight. I added the battery pack and the angle grinder to my cart individually and they totaled up at 99 bucks. I can also pick them up at the store "immediately" as they are both in stock as opposed to waiting for the package deal. I've already...

Home Depot RYOBI Days Sale: 2 Batteries + Free Tool for $99

What do people do with the batteries they get from these deals, assuming they don't need them? I'm just a homeowner and don't always need/want batteries, another charger etc., but I'm a sucker for a "deal" if there is a tool that I need.
