Used to run an envriomental testing UL approved lab. We made DI water on site. Got a new very expensive chamber and the tech was running the DI water in it for about a year. Fog generator rotted out. Only use distilled, especially in things with Al parts. It’s cheap insurance.

Has nothing to do with doors, but doing formula SAE car in school someone decided to make the halfshafts out of solid. They broke very quickly. The core of the solid bar provided a place for stress cracks to start and propagate. Thats why they are made from tube .

Have a bunch of Ryobi tools at work, but no batteries. I got an adapter so i can use my Dewalt 20v battery’s with them.

I use a center drill first.

This is most likely your best solution. Commercial mortice locks come in hundreds of different configurations and are expensive.

I prefer WD-40 for aluminum work! Not as stinky.

Had a neo magnet the size of a hockey puck. Kept it inside a plastic tool box with more foam than that all around. The whole box could be stuck to anything!! That thing could hurt you if you weren’t careful!
