Heating your garage, what's your setup.

Truth. But I just have to make it a couple more years to tear the thing down and build one bigger and right the first time. The Mrs. has requested that after 20 years she would like to park her vehicle in the garage

    Which Motorcycle Wheel Chock

I’m a chock fan, based on lightweight bikes and the simplicity of the “chock it and let go” ability. I hunted for a while to pick up a used Condor in order to move the mounting point back enough to lift the front out of the chock with a front lift, and then remove the chock from the table.

Handy Industries Motorcycle, ATV, UTV Lifts - $200 off

That’s bonkers. I got mine for $800 and it’s about 9 years old, but it included a Handy scissor jack as well, so I considered it only semi-salty. I would have bought new if I were in your boat as well. I would really like the extra 7 inches in height at times.

    Garden Hose Reels?

O-rings will always leak eventually, and need to be replaced. Eley has really nice replacement o-rings too. 😁 The big thing for me, is I pull it off the reel and it flops out straight without any memory.

Craftsman box without wheels on wood frame?

I just knocked together quick frames from kiln dried 2x4s. I was more concerned about bench height than most anything else. They support the plates where the casters were. It’s not pretty, but it works well. I do live in a dry climate though.

Heating your garage, what's your setup.

Denver, Colorado. I didn’t close the ceiling, because after wiring, insulating and drywalling, my 70 year old father and I weren’t about to hang gypsum upside down at that point in life. :) I did have a plan to get a crew in at some point to hang the ceiling/tape/mud, but it fell by the wayside...

    Garden Hose Reels?

I’ve been using a Liberty 712 reel for a year, and it’s done well. It’s not fantastic, but it works and wasn’t too pricey. I wanted a fixed position, but the ability to change the direction of the reel is awesome. And yes, there’s 100’ of Eley hose on it. 😀

    Maglite

Leave an alkaline battery by itself long enough, and it will always get bored and **** itself for something to do. I still have an old 3D Maglite that I keep around for prosperity. It’s been converted to LED and NiMH batteries. I like it, but it still ***** in comparison to a $30 LED off Amazon

Looking to upgrade my creeper/roller seat.

I have a McKesson pneumatic medical exam stool I use. Bought off Craigslist 10 years ago, and it was probably 10-15 years old at that point. If it ever fails and I can’t find another one cheap, I’ll probably start grabbing old office chairs and pulling the backs off them.

Heating your garage, what's your setup.

20x24 detached space, insulated walls, but open trusses to the roof. I use an 80k kerosene forced air jet engine to get it up to 60 degrees, and then switch over to the old fashioned kerosene heater to maintain if I’m going to be out there for a while. I do have both CO and CO2 monitors in the...

HELP? Looking for ideas on organizing thousands of small parts.

I gave up after searching for years for reasonably priced lista/equipto etc. cabinets, and started collecting flat files for small parts. They’re cheap, have massive drawers, and hold a ton of ****/weight. This was the start of organizing, and I have other flat files to add when needed, I would...

    Garage door entry not sloped

I had the same issue about ten years ago, so I installed an aluminum threshold that stands about 1/2” overall. It’s sealed underneath with construction adhesive, and installed with tapcons. That and a commercial seal on the bottom of the doors has kept everything out since

    tool box INSIDE the house?!?!

Mobile prep table for years until I moved to Manhattan and tried to bring it with me. Thankfully Costco took it back.

Garage To Wall Cabinet's or Wall Shelves.

They are a mix of wire shelves from Costco and webstaurant store (we have a lot of wire shelving in the basement too). The major factor, was finding wall brackets for the wire shelves at webstaurant. This allowed for essentially multiple 16’ long shelves. The 48” shelves hit every third stud...

Garage To Wall Cabinet's or Wall Shelves.

Yeah, the dust thing can be an issue. Most of what I would want to keep clean is organized in bins, but I cut outside as well. The drill press and grinder are both on a mobile cart that usually goes outside as well.

Garage To Wall Cabinet's or Wall Shelves.

I’ve had those cabinets in the back for 7 years, and there still isn’t much in them other than **** I should probably get rid of (excluding the shelves on the bottoms of them, which are stuffed). Shelves are my jam. I like the flexibility and visibility.

    Garage Speakers

I’ve been messing around with my system for years. Went down a rabbit hole with speakers and sub mounted in-ceiling to keep them out of the way, plus the two amps to run them. Another shout out to Dayton audio for speakers/amps and garage sale receivers. I have a Bluetooth receiver attached...
