The VCM 2,the required interface, costs around 2500.00 for a real one from ford, you need a decent laptop, and the sub is 700 a year, includes programing files and the scan tool. To buy go to Rotunda tools site, ford's special tool company.

If you do that much Ford you will be way a head by getting a Ford IDS, it is my favorite scan tool

It is a android tablet so you have Google Chrome browser by default, you should be able to get any app you want, I only use mine as a scan tool, I have a 2 screen desktop at my bays, so I have not messed with putting apps on mine. Enjoy your new toy;)

No, the only way to get guided fault finding is the OE scan tool , the VAS5052 or the latest VAS 5054 aka ODIS BMW calls it a test plan, what ever you call it not having all the info can wast a lot of time

Really???? Last time I checked Snap On had no guided fault finding like the VAS5052 or ODIS, it is very different than trouble shooter and the like. One of the biggest issues with aftermarket tools on euro is the diagnostic info is built into the tool everthing from component locations to wiring...

Snap on does ok on VW but it is not in the same league as VAGCOM,VAGCOM is cheap so add it to the kitty
